COURSE NAME: CONSTITUTIONAL LAW - II (including Human Rights)

Course Objectives:

1. This is an introduction to the Supreme Law of the land.

2. The knowledge of fundamentals of Constitutional Law.

3. The constitutional law is essential for understanding any branch of law in India due to the
development of the Constitutional Law through various decisions of higher courts of this land.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Unit I The learner will be able to understand the role of Comptroller General of
India and his functions

Unit II The learner needs to have a knowledge about the constitutional provisions
dealing with the State Executive, its functions and powers so that he can
very well understand the foundation of the political system in the State.

Unit III
The learner will be able to explore how the branches of the State share
power with each other as well as how the Centre as a whole shares powers
with the states.
Unit IV A bird’s eye view of important aspects of the Constitution is given to the
learners namely Public Service Commission, Elections, Tribunals etc.,

Unit V The learner is familiarized with various aspects of human rights so that the
learner can be motivated to pursue their interest in the field of human rights
