STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE

CORE COVID COMMITTEE-


Principal, Admin Officer, School Coordinator, Hostel Coordinator, Academic
Coordinator, Medical Officer
Student Representatives will also be appointed to ensure proper monitoring and
following of set protocols.

MANDATORY COVID PROTOCOLS AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS TO BE


STRICTLY FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE-

• Wear a mask at all times.


• Carry personal sanitizer bottle at all times.
• Maintain social distancing.
• Carry own water bottle.
• Carry your own belongings and not to share utilities such as towels etc.
• Report immediately to the hostel staff/ nursing matron if feeling unwell.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Carry own stationery items, books, notebooks etc.
• Bring tiffin from home if required as canteen will not be operational ( Day
Scholars).
• Strictly follow all rules, regulations and advisories the school will issue from time
to time.
• Dispose of masks, tissues etc in covered bins only.
• Stay home if not feeling well (Day Scholars)
• Inform the school about travel history. In case your child has travelled out of the
city or has been a part of any large gathering, then the child must quarantine
himself/ herself for minimum 5 days.
• Before joining the school, the students must submit the letter of consent
and self-declaration as per the format provided by the school.
• Give emergency contact number on which the parent may be contacted in case
the student starts feeling unwell during school hours.(Day Scholars)

Day Scholars - It is advisable to


1. Carry a personal safety kit which may have an extra mask, sanitizer, liquid soap,
gloves.
2. Get a random Covid check done from time to time and share the report with the
teacher.
3. In case your child suffers from any co-morbidity, it is advisable to speak to the doctor
before the child comes to school.

TRANSPORT FOR DAY SCHOLARS-


It is advisable for parents to pick and drop their children to school.

PROTOCOL TO BE FOLLOWED ON ARRIVAL OF BOARDERS-

• Entry from the Main gate where Thermal screening and hand sanitization will be
done.
• Parents will not be allowed beyond the parking area.
• The girls will be received by the House staff where their RTPCR report (hard
copy) will be checked by them.
• Thereafter they will report to the infirmary and will be kept under observation for
three days.
• The Nursing Matron will regularly check for fever or other symptoms while
reporting to the Doctor on call.
• Mess will serve the food in the hostel/infirmary as per the requirement from time
to time
• The luggage will be sanitized and sent to the hostel.

HYGIENE MEASURES ADOPTED BY SCHOOL

• Sanitisers placed at various places.


• Proper disposal bins available.
• General Cleaning and Regular sanitization of -
o Entrance gates , offices and vehicles.
o Boarding Houses, Classrooms, Mess
o Open areas such as sit outs , pavements , assembly areas
o All equipment being used machinery, tools, computers etc
o Washrooms, Handwash areas
o Walls, chairs, workstation and all surfaces
• Checklist of cleaning and Sanitization of Houses will be strictly followed by the
service staff.
• Display Boards -Posters will be put up giving information regarding covid
precautions and guide lines.

GUIDELINES FOR MESS FACILITY-


• All Mess staff will follow strict COVID guidelines along with a clean health chit
from the doctor.
• Mess staff will be provided adequate and suitable clean protective apron and
headgear for covering hair and gloves.
• Wearing mask will be mandatory for the mess staff during working in the kitchen.
Also while serving the food they will wear hand gloves. mask and maintain
appropriate distance from the students.
• Serving and Dining area will also be well sanitized before and after the
consumption of meals.
• Clear markings will be made inside the dining hall to facilitate physical distancing.
• Hand washing before and after the meals to be followed strictly.
• Hostel Staff will monitor at all times and make sure all protocols are being
adhered to.
CURRICULUM FOR BOARDERS -
• The Boarders will follow a fixed timetable which will be reviewed from time to
time as required.
• The classes will be hybrid (online as well as offline)
• Boarders will not have classes along with the Day Scholars. There will be no
contact with the Day Scholars.
• Activities such as art craft, dance music, talent show, quiz, literary and club
activities etc. will commence keeping in mind the distancing and safety
precautions under the supervision of the teachers.
• For sports also keeping covid – 19 protocols in mind, initially individual sports,
yoga, fitness exercises etc will be taken up later followed by team games.

GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS-


• Teachers will maintain proper social distancing and constantly remind the
students to do the same.
• Address the queries and concerns of students and sensitize them about the
situation.
• Ensure proper discipline is maintained. Take precautions regarding cyber safety
and security.
• Teacher should be a role model of following the norms and protocols.
GUIDELINES FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCY-
• The School infirmary has Resident Nurse and a Doctor on call and is well
equipped with all necessary equipment for medical emergencies such as oxygen
cylinder, nebulizer, pulse oximeter steam inhalers suction machine.
• The school has a tie up with one of the top most Hospitals in Jaipur- Santokba
Durlabhji Medical Hospital which is barely 10 minutes’ drive from the school.

• Incase a girl is suspected of symptoms related to COVID -19, the course of


action will be-
➢ Immediate and quick shifting to the school infirmary and inform Principal, Admin
Officer and Hostel Coordinator.
➢ Inform Parents
➢ Further action will depend on the Doctor’s recommendation.
➢ Sanitization of the particular dormitory/ room/ classroom immediately.
➢ Counselling of the students of her class/group and sensitization in order to keep
a watch in case of symptomatic developments by the hostel staff.
➢ Immediate suspension of group activity.
➢ Immediate thermal screening of all students in close contact with her.
➢ Enquire from the girl as to the areas visited by her so that they can be sanitized.
➢ Deep cleaning of whole school premises.

The fight against CORONA can be easily won by adhering to the most basic
precautions as enlisted here. MGD expects each stakeholder to take the
responsibility of taking care of self which will eventually create a safe and healthy
environment on the campus.
