 Lubrication circuit :

■ Almost all the lubrication points and auxiliary equipment are connected to the pressure
lubrication system by oil galleries or pipes.
■ The lubrication of the gears in the gear housing, the upper end of the connecting rods and
the pistons is mainly realized by splash lubrication.

 Oil pump :
■ The oil pump is driven by a hub piece of the
crankshaft (2 notches)
■ The oil pump is a GeRotor-type pump
■ Smaller gearwheel pulls the outer gearwheel
■ A seal equipped the timing cover
■ If the pump parts are worn or damaged, the timing
cover must be replaced
■ No parts available for the lubrication pump..

 Turbocharger CZ C12 : ■ Note :
At 4000 hours, the axial and radial
turbocharger clearance need to be checked:
 Axial clearance max : 0,11 mm

 Radial clearance max : 0,40 mm

 Engine oil filter unit :

■ Composed by an oil filter and a filter head


■ Cartridge filter, supplies with the seal
■ Maintenance:
 Lubricate the main seal when you replace the filter

 Oil pressure regulating valve :

■ This valve maintain a regular pressure between 2.5 to 5 bar in the engine lubrication
gallery
■ It’s a safety in case of filter clogging
■ At idle speed, the pressure is equal to 1.5 bar
■ Free length of spring of the oil pressure valve : 48,2 to 51,8 mm
■ Assembly length / load of spring : 28,5 mm / 89 N
■ Checking procedure available in the AGCO WSM.

 Thermostat :

Thermostat :
■ Allows the cooling water flow to the water radiator. Thermostat
 Start to open when the water temperature is moves down
higher than 81°C
 Fully open at 95°C, the clearance is equal to
8 mm.

■ Check the function of the thermostat as follows :


 Put the thermostat into a vessel of boiling
water so that it does not touch the sides or
bottom.
 Opening must begin after less than 20
seconds.
 Thermostat must be fully open in less than
50 seconds.

 Coolant Pump :

■ The cooling circuit requires a specific coolant.


 To provide protection against freezing,
boiling and corrosion.
■ Driven by a belt pulley hub
■ Screws tightening torque: 30 N.m
■ No timing.

 Electronic control system :
■ Coolant temperature sensor :

 This sensor is fitted on the coolant pump. The signal is


directly sent to the dashboard
 This temperature sensor includes a Negative Temperature
Coefficient thermistor (NTC type). The resistance decrease
when temperature increase
 The resistance variation generates a voltage, sent to the
dashboard. The voltage value decrease when the
temperature increase.

 Engine accessories :
■ Air engine filter :
 Located above the battery
 To be cleaned every 100 hours to increase the life of
the filter and keep a maximum engine efficiency:
• Only clean when the warning indicator lights up
• Gently tap slowly on a flat area to extract the
largest particles and to not deform the filter
• Blow over from above mandatory (5 bars maxi
to 50 cm mini)
• Change the filter after 5 warning lighting
indications
• Change the safety part after changing the main
filter twice.

■ 21 bar solenoid valve is ON and it allows to engage the dog tooth coupler
■ Disengage by a mechanical spring effect
■ The front axle housing include an hydraulic gallery to supply the piston plate and engage the dog tooth
coupler.

■ Directly fitted on the flywheel
■ Two springs equip the dumper and absorb the
engine vibrations
■ Avoid to have these vibrations on the input
shaft of the Powershuttle module

■ A potentiometer fitted on the right side of the top shaft Pin 1 Earth
■ Send a signal to the Auto 7 - Linkage Pin 2 Supply

■ Maximum top position, potentiometer send a signal of 7.1 V to the Auto 7 - Linkage

■ Minimum bottom position, potentiometer send a signal of 3.4 V to the Auto 7 - Linkage.

 Linkage position control changes :

■ Linkage activation procedure:


 Put the lever in minimum then in maximum position before use the linkage.
■ Electronic linkage position control :
 In case of electrical failure, mechanical controls can be used.

“Standard” console

 It checks that the physical linkage position is in accordance with the request of the
linkage position lever and the potentiometer
 Communication between these components is managed by an Auto 7 Linkage
calculator.

 Identification plate :

■ All global tractors will be identified by a VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number)
■ This Id. number gives all information about the tractor
■ The identification plate is fixed by rivets in the rear left fender
■ Allows to know tractor specification if it is in accordance with the tractor and protect it against
the thefts.

 New fuel tank :

■ In red zone, 18 litres stay in the tank


■ Include a draining plug to drain the tank in case of servicing (ex : Clutch system
replacement)
■ Tank capacity allows to work 9 hours at engine load equal to 70 %
■ Tank guard protects the fuel tank

■ When there is an active error on the tractor harnesses/sensors/calculators, the


dashboard displays the error code directly on the screen as the picture shows below.
■ Error codes description are available in the Workshop manual.

■ Through the dashboard, you can check the software versions of the tractor controllers.

■ Procedure :
 Put ignition key in ON position (Not engine running)
 Press the following switch in down position during 3 seconds

screen. To change the controller displayed press once the switch in up position.

Down position

■ In the 5 second following the boot of the dashboard, keep pressed 5 seconds the
switch in up position

■ The following screen will appear, it allows you to select the controller that you
want to set the label codes by pressing once the switch in up position

■ When the controller is selected, press and hold for 3 seconds the switch in up
position. The following screen appears.
■ To set the label code value, either press once the switch in up or down position.
Once the value has been set, press 3 seconds the switch in up position in order to
validate the value and select another label code.

■ When all label codes are set ( A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, L), keep pressed the
switch in up position until the message "run" appears on the screen in order to
launch the writing process.

■ At the end of the writing process, the following screen will appear if all label
codes are correctly set.

■ In case of error, this screen will be displayed. It means that :


 Communication problem occurred during the process
 Wrong label code value has been set.
