COMPUTER BASED TESTING FOR NEET/JEE (MAIN & ADV.)
It is proposed that there may be a change in the exam pattern & mode of NEET / JEE (Main) by MHRD. With this proposed
change, NEET is likely to be conducted twice in a year, first time in the month of February and second time in the month of May.
The mode of test will also change from paper-pen mode (OMR based) to Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. In addition, the
AIIMS exam has, already been converted to CBT mode in 2017 itself.
Similarly, the MHRD announced on 8th July 2018 that from 2019, JEE (Main) will be conducted twice in a year, first time in the
month of January and second time in the month of April. The mode of test will also change from paper-pen mode (OMR based) to
Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. In addition, the JEE body already been converted the JEE Advanced exam pattern to CBT
mode in 2018 itself.
To ensure all our classroom students get the required exposure and ample practice for CBT test taking mode and analysis of each
& every test instantly, we will be conducting all our classroom tests for all NEET / IIT-JEE classroom courses on Tablet/Computer
with internet connectivity. None of the tests will be conducted on paper-pen format (or OMR sheet format) going toward. It is
therefore has been made mandatory for each classroom student joining the KOPAL NEET / IIT-JEE programs to bring a
compatible and fully charged tablet to classroom for test taking purpose during the course of the program.
OLYMPIADS
Olympiads provide a unique competitive platform to young intellectuals. They help students analyze their weak and strong
attributes and bring out the best in them. Olympiads are highly challenging in nature which improves students' aptitude and builds
their confidence. In addition, they cultivate analytical thinking, improve, conceptual understanding and enhance problem solving
skills.
Each Olympiad is a separate exam with its own organizing body and a common set of rules and regulations. Olympiad exams thus
serve as a platform to challenge the intellectual minds in mathematics and science across the world.
Olympiads are a group of annual global competitions held in various areas of science for precollege students. The best 4-6
students from each country are selected through National Olympiads with the exception of the Olympiads in Linguistics - IOL (two
teams per country), Informatics – IOI (two teams from the host country) and the Junior Science Olympiads – IOJS (for junior
secondary students).
There are several Olympiads held across the world, few of them are listed below:
• The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO, since 1959; not held in 1980)
• The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO, since 1967; not held in 1973, 1978, 1980)
• The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO, since 1968; not held in 1971)
• The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI, since 1989)
