INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the radio covers and locate the microphone jack. Remove the Transmit and Receive Wires
from the jack and solder them to the RB2 board pads near the relay marked RX and TX.

2. Solder the White wire from the RB2 board to the Mic Audio pin at the microphone jack.
Solder the Red wire from the RB2 board to the 13.8 VDC at the radio’s On/Off switch.

3. If the Beep Sound is going to be on the Back Side (when the mic button is released) then solder the
Black wire to the Ground pin of the microphone jack. Solder the Green wire to the Transmit pin.

* If the Beep Sound is going to be on the Front Side (when the mic button is pressed) then solder the
Black wire to the Transmit pin, and leave the Green wire Disconnected.

4. Using a small screwdriver or tuning tool, adjust the RB2 Tone control to the desired sound.
Note: Add a disc type .01uf (102) capacitor across the Tone Caps if a Lower Tone is desired.

Switch Wiring: Cut Jumper RB Switch

Talk Back Switch:
Cut the Jumper Wire on
the PC board and wire the
Two Pads to a Un-used
Front Panel Switch (On/Off)
Tone Info: Talk Back Resistor (See Note)
Adding a 102 Capacitor
across the Tone Caps
will Lower the Tone of SW TB TB Switch
the Beep if desired.

Note: Spare relay contacts SR/ST/Com can be used Adjustable Tone Control Spare Relay Contacts (See Note)
for switching TalkBack Diodes, External Amplifiers,
or other devices. Tone caps (add .01uf [102] for lower range)
