Society has already been one of the integral parts of my lifestyle.

Norms transpired from the society has

already been a trail which I have been abiding on. Thus I cannot deny the fact that the result I was able
to acquire during the tests under the Rosenbergh Self-esteem scale is the product on how I perceive
myself basing from the standards of the society.

The Rosenbergh Self-esteem scale has identified my level of self-esteem as “Low” garnering with a score
of “12”. Indeed, my amour propre is not that high in view of the fact that I haven’t satisfied my desired-
self and I got enormous flaws. Throughout my life, criticism has already been part of me. People have
thrown lots of criticisms and judgment towards me. As a result, I portrayed myself as an inferior person
and the society has depicted myself in such way. I remember reading a quotation of Rober Holden
claiming that “No amount of self-improvement can make up for any lack of self-acceptance” this
quotation made me ponder; only if we are being realistic and not be idealistic, awareness is upon us that
in our current generation and basing from our culture, we can only have satisfaction if we have reached
the society’s sets of standards. This mindset of “Be contented with who you are” is already a constraint,
hindering us from meeting our desired-self because society tend to criticize us for being a social climber,
wannabe, perfectionists, and trying hard person. Perhaps, I’m at the same amount with the others but
not to the extent of being satisfied with it already.
