Thank you so much for doing this btw. I really appreciate it. Just 5 questions :)

1. How hard was the process of obtaining your educational degree?

2. Were there any physical, mental, emotional roadblocks?
3. How do you think your field of work has impacted your community?
4. How do you think the study of the body and treating others has impacted your community?
5. Is there any advice you would give to someone pursuing a career that involves the knowledge of anatomy?

Thanks,

1. How hard was the process of obtaining your educational degree?

To be a pediatrician, a student must complete 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and 3-4 years of a pediatric
residency. Success depends on intellectual curiosity as well
as determination. You have to be prepared for many long
hours of studying, late nights, and missing events important to you. However, the reward is unmeasurable. There is
nothing more important than helping others to heal and grow into the best version of
themselves.
2. Were there any physical, mental, emotional roadblocks?
In a word, many. The path is emotionally and physically exhausting but for every challenge, there is a moment of healing
that keeps you going.
3. How do you think your field of work has impacted your community?
A pediatrician supports both individual patients, families,  as well as the community as a whole. Previously, I was a
General Pediatrician, taking care of children and families. I’ve
taken on an administrative role now, and I am now leading
efforts to support schools and ensure overall student wellness in New Orleans.
4. How do you think the study of the body and treating others has impacted your community?
There are many careers in healthcare that support the community. It is the entire medical and behavioral health team that
cares for the health of the community.
5. Is there any advice you would give to someone pursuing a career that involves the knowledge of anatomy?
Talk to as many healthcare providers as possible to get a full understanding of what each role does and how that matches
your interests and passions. If you are able to shadow  someone
at work, that is a great option.

Btw, you are more than welcome to come down and shadow here this summer if you want!
