Declaration of consent concerning data security

Examinations conducted by Goethe-Instituts are recognized as a proof of language ability in the new
Immigration Act for reunification of spouses in the visa process.In order to check the genuineness of the
issued examination certificates while visa is being processed, the authorities concerned from the Ministry Of
External Affairs have to obtain Name, Examination results and the certificate numbers of such examinees who
have appeared and passed the exams for the visa purpose.

By signing this declaration of consent for data security the examinee declares that he / she agrees to the
passing of his / her personal data to the concerned authorities from the Ministry Of External Affairs. The
examinee can revoke his / her declaration of consent for data security to be effective in the future.

The declaration of consent is voluntarily given on one's own accord. lf the consent is not given or revoked, the
authorities from Ministry Of External Affairs cannot check the genuineness of the Examination certificate with
data available from Goethe Institut. In such cases the onus of proving the validity of the certificate lies
entirely on the visa applicant.

1. The candidate should be present at the Goethe-Institut /
Examination Centre 30 minutes prior to the examination

4. The examination fee has to be paid separately on the exam
registration dates as per the schedule.
5. Internal candidates writing the ‘’Goethe-Zertifikat B1,
Goethe-Zertifikat B2 and Goethe-Zertifikat C2’’ examinations
for the first time will have to write the examination for all the
four modules. In the subsequent attempts one can write the
examination only for the module that has not been cleared in
the first attempt.
4. Cell phones, watches- analog, digital, smartwatches along
with any kind of electronic devices are not allowed during
the examination. Not only usage but also possession thereof
in the examination room shall lead to disqualification from
the examination.
5. The examination shall go on for the entire day and the
candidates are expected to make travel and food
arrangements accordingly.

7. Candidates who have registered for any course at
Goethe-Institut Chennai/Max Mueller Bhavan will be
considered as internal candidates while appearing for the
first time for the examination of that level within six months
from the end date of the course.
III After the examination:
1: The date of announcement of the results shall be
announced on the day of examination.
2 The candidate can view the examination results online
only. The results will not be given over the phone.

3. Viewing of Exam Papers: The results of the exam may be

viewed by the candidate within two weeks of receiving their
exam results. All requests are to be submitted in writing to the
exam department or by sending an E-Mail, with name of the Goethe-Zertifkat C2:
candidate, name of the examination, examination date and the C2 GDS
candidate's examination ID number, along with a fee of INR
1000/-(To be paid in advance). Merely pointing out that a certain
number of points was not achieved does not qualify as a
sufficient reason for an appeal. The Goethe-Institut Chennai/Max
Mueller Bhavan may reject requests that are based on
unsatisfactory reasons. Appointments will be given to the C1 Goethe-Zertifkat C1
candidates on a Friday between 15:00 to 16:00 hrs. Candidates
are requested to come to the institute one hour before the
appointment to complete the formalities.Only the applicable
answer sheet and the evaluation sheet shall be presented for the
same. You are not allowed to take any photographs or make Goethe-Zertifkat B2
copies during this process. No question papers will be presented B2 (for adults and youth)
for the same and neither are you entitled to any individual
counselling.

4. Certificates: Examination certificates will be sent only through

post within fifteen working days after the announcement of the Goethe-Zertifkat B1
examination results. The candidate has to fill the correct postal B1 (for adults and youth)
address on an envelope and pay a postal fee of INR 50/- on the
day of examination. If the candidate fails to fill the envelope, the
Institute will not be responsible for the certificate.

5. The certificates will be issued according to the details in the Goethe-Zertifkat A2

hall ticket. There is no possibility for any change once the
certificate is issued. A2
6. In case of loss of certificate, a replacement certificate shall be Goethe-Zertifkat A2

IV Liability of the Goethe-Institut:

1. The liability of the Goethe-Institut Chennai/Max Mueller Goethe-Zertifkat A1:

Data provided on the terms of his / her registration and in conjunction with the performance of future agreements

to its headquarters in Munich, Germany and there to combine in its central customer database, said Data with any

Furthermore, I consent to the use of his / her Data by Goethe-Institut Chennai and GI-HQ not only for performing

the contractual agreement, but also for the purposes of market research, advertising and marketing associated

with the range of services offered by Goethe-Institut and in particular for providing relevant advertisement of

surveys (‘information’), e.g., about new courses offered by Goethe-Institut to him / her at the contact address
