Notes
This light and breezy sweater is a perfect cover-up over
summer tanks and dresses and is a great addition to your
travel wardrobe. Gentle balloon sleeves add fashionable
interest and simplify sleeve shaping, and relaxed fit supports
a variety of sizes and preferred ease. Delicato is a convenient
sampler of tall crochet stitches for those who want to try
them without a serious commitment.
Stitches of different heights break up the traditional net and
create a modern geometric pattern. The sweater features
subtle textural effects with shimmering silk lace worked in
alternating double and single strand rows. Narrow edging
pulls the look together. Front, back, and sleeves are worked
separately from bottom up. Sleeves have a small cap for a
good fit and are easily seamed to body in a drop shoulder
construction.
The net pattern naturally flows with shoulder, neck, and
sleeve shaping, also demonstrated in a stitch chart. Main
stitch pattern is charted and worked flat. Read RS rows (odd
numbers) from right to left and WS rows (even numbers) from
left to right.
