Presentation Questions

 Only ONE question should be selected.


 Time duration: in between 11-15 minutes.

Question 1: Assess the impact of IT of a selected system(s).


Theory: Impact Levels of IT.

Instructions:
1. Select a business information system(s) of a company at your convenience.
2. Collect the characteristics of the system. You may use different data
collection methods to do that. Eg. Interviewing the system users, observing
the system by yourself.
3. Apply the respective theory to analyze the data collected.
4. At the end of the presentation, you need to answer the question ‘what the
level of IT impact of the selected system(s) is’ through the analysis
results.

Question 2: Evaluate the digital maturity of a selected system(s).
Theory: Digital Maturity Model.

Instructions:
1. Select a business information system(s) of a company at your convenience.
2. Collect the characteristics of the system. You may use different data
collection methods to do that. Eg. Interviewing the system users, observing
the system by yourself.
3. Apply the respective theory to analyze the data collected.
4. At the end of the presentation, you need to answer the question ‘what the
digital maturity of the selected system(s) is’ through the analysis results.

Question 3: Determine the most suitable Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model
to convert clients’ business requirements into an information system.
Theory: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SDLC Models.

Instructions:
1. Select a company where there is a business requirement to develop an
information system,
OR select an information system which is already developed.
2. Collect the data about the system which is to be developed or is already
developed, in terms of:
 user requirements,
 management requirements,
 technological factors,
 factors considered by the software development team,
 or any other factors as necessary.
3. Apply the respective theory to analyze the data collected.
4. At the end of the presentation, you need to answer the question ‘what is
the most appropriate SDLC model for the company to adopt to convert
clients’ requirements to an information system’ through the analysis
results.

Question 4: Determine how successfully Digital HR transformation is being done by a HR
department/ by any other department/ by a company.
Theory: SMAC Technologies.

Instructions:
1. Select a company where the business services, transactions are
transformed to highly digitalized environment through SMAC
Technologies.
2. Collect the details of how the transformation is done in terms of:
 social media,
 mobility/ Internet of Things (IoT),
 analytics,
 cloud computing services.
3. Apply the respective theory to analyze the data collected.
4. At the end of the presentation, you need to come up with the ‘suggestions
those can be adopted to successfully improve the present situation of the
digital transformation’ by examining the analysis results.

General Instructions

All Students,
Please make a note of the following points with regards to your individual presentations;

1) All PowerPoint presentations with the supporting elements such as videos etc., should
be saved to the classroom computer by 15 minutes prior to the commencement of class. (By
0845hrs, in case the class commences at 0900hrs). Subsequent changes, amendments to the
PowerPoint presentations would not be allowed.

2) Students are required to submit a

3) All students are to be present at the class in time and no one to leave the class till the
class is officially over (At the normal class end time).

4) The marks allocation is;

a) Contents - 25 Marks
b) Timing - 05 Marks
c) Presentation Skills - 65 Marks
d) Questions and Answers – 05 Marks

5) Marks allocated for timing is 05 and following would be the timings;

a) Less than 12 minutes 0 Mark


b) 12 to 14 minutes 2.5 Marks
c) 14 to 15 minutes 05 Marks (full marks)
d) 15 to 16 minutes 2.5 Marks
e) More than 16 minutes 0 Mark

6) Time indication other than the projected digital stopwatch;

a) 13 Minutes - one sound through manual push bell/digital alarm through computer
b) 14 Minutes - Two sounds through manual push bell
c) 15 Minutes - Three sounds through manual push bell
d) 16 Minutes - Few sounds through manual push bell and ask to stop
