Noteworthy
• Planning Resource Auction: On August 8, 2019, MISO submitted Tariff
revisions that modify specific dates with the current Planning Resource Auction
(“PRA”) process timeline to allow for better alignment of processes. These
revisions will give greater clarity surrounding the deadline for various requirements
in MISO’s resource adequacy construct as well as give stakeholders additional
time in certain instances to submit necessary information

• Fuel Assurance/Resilience: FERC Staff requested MISO participation for a

Commissioner-led September 19 Technical Conference. Chairman Chatterjee has
made recent comments regarding the possible creation of joint State-FERC
resilience task force and reiterated support for ISO-NE and PJM Fuel Assurance

* The virtual profitability market index is defined as the sum of profits/losses for all cleared virtual transactions divided by the volume (MWh) of total cleared transactions.
* Virtual profits/losses are calculated by multiplying the cleared virtual MW and the imbalance between RT LMP and DA LMP for a cpnode, then summed across all cpnodes, all hours.
* Upper Limit is Threshold (average of monthly indices from the previous year) plus Daily Average Standard Deviation for the previous 13 months (current reporting month inclusive)
* Lower Limit is Threshold (average of monthly indices from the previous year) minus Daily Average Standard Deviation for the previous 13 months (current reporting month inclusive)
* Monthly Standard Deviation is the standard deviation of daily cleared indices of the reporting month
