CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION

Children from low and middle-income families are vulnerable to getting chronic

diseases. The mental development of these children is lower than those children that get a

balanced diet. There is an indication that the children's performances in schools will be

lower.

I often witness differences in the standard of living of students to which family they

belong. They can not come to school because there is no food, sometimes without eating

breakfast, so they tend to sleep in class, asks for money or food from a classmate or

sometimes they ask for food from their teacher, sometimes I make it as a reward to give

snacks to the child so that it doesn't just appear that you gave it to him/her because the

child is embarrassed when a classmate teases him/her.

For the development of a healthy child, nutrition is essential. A child is vulnerable to

many diseases. If a child is a good feed, it can easily evade the risk of getting infections.

Children who gain proper nutrition have endless benefits. When a child is well-fed, he/she

can easily fight malnutrition. A child with good defense and nutrition has an excellent

immune system. Good nutrition makes their bodies fight well with childhood diseases. A

child will be protected against obesity and the vulnerability of getting chronic diseases.
