Inside the executive office, three groups support the president’s national program tasks besides ministry
and other government agencies;

● Presidential Staff Office: To assist the President and Vice President in improving the continuous
running of National Priority Programs and the implementation of presidential political
communication, strategic issue management, and ensure that national priority programs are given
under the President's vision and mission.
● Presidential Special Staff: The non-structural institution established to facilitate the implementation
of the tasks of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. These duties are coordinated, given
administrative support and is responsible to the Cabinet Secretary.
● Presidential Advisory Council: Government institution agency under Law No.19 of 2006 with duty on
providing advice and consideration to the president as referred to in Article 16 of the Constitution of
the Republic of Indonesia of 1945.

As of now, a lot of organizational issues happened within the executive office. Not only from the technical
implementation, but the communication flow in response to the public also becomes a major problem that
already harms the president’s image.

● President of Indonesia spokesperson, Fadjroel Rachman stressed that the relaxation of the credit
announced by the President was prioritized to the public who had been declared as a positive

● Minister of State Secretary revised the president’s spokesperson about the statement of allowing the
public to homecoming to their place of origin (2/4/2020).
● Acting Deputy Political Communications of the Presidential Staff Office (PSO) - Jury Ardiantoro
emphasized that all staff in his office were in good health and were not exposed to COVID-19. This
was conveyed by the Jury refuting the statement of Ali Mochtar Ngabalin, who mentioned that there
was a positive staff member in PSO who infected by COVID-19. (3/4/2020)
