R-828 TetraNode eXchange

General Description
A TetraNode digital trunked radio network consists of one or
more R-828 TetraNode eXchanges (TNXs) and Base
Station Sites. A single TNX serves co-located and remote
Base Station Sites. With inter-TNX connections the system
capacity can be further increased. A TNX is also referred to
as a node - hence the name TetraNode.

The TNX provides the Switching and Management

Infrastructure (SwMI) functionality in a TetraNode network
and is fully based on soft-switch technology.

The TNX is standard configured with a R-865 TetraNode

Main Controller (TMC), two load-sharing hot swappable
power supplies, cooling fans and integrated programmable
system monitoring and alarming functions. The TetraNode eXchange backplane is a PICMG 2.5
specification-compliant telephony backplane, which
