Unit1 Case 1: A reality check for today’s c suite on industry 4.0; (KPMG International, 2018) Industry 4.0 report
Expected Outcome:
After reading and analyzing the case, students should have the ability to examine what some firms are doing right and what others must do better
to manage the most complex business challenge to emerge in generations. Students will develop insights into transformational challenges and
timely strategies to succeed in the new digital economy.
Unit2 Case 1: Vodafone Managing Advanced Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

Expected Outcome:
The case helps students learn to manage advanced technologies and Artificial Intelligence, focusing mainly on the telecommunication industry. It
also throws light on the risks and disruption part.
Unit2 Case 2: OneBankAssure: Customer Intimacy Through Machine Learning (MIT, March 2018)
Expected Outcome:
This case is expected to guide the students on creating fertile ground in the organization to use machine learning capabilities. Students will also
realize the need for investments in training and culture change needed before a firm can become a data-driven organization through the case study.
Unit3 Case 1: Blockchain ConsenSys Sustainability
This case allows students to learn about Sustainability with International’s Alliance with ConsenSys and how the company is Leveraging
Technology for Social Impact
Unit3 Case 2: Blockchain at BNP Paribas: The power of co-creation (MIT, March 2018)
Expected Outcome:
The case analysis and discussion should help students to consider adopting emergent technologies like Blockchain in a co-creation mode with
customers. The case would also help students identify some approaches to reduce the risks inherent in implementing such technology-based
solutions.

Expected Outcome:
This case would help students understand the value of Blockchain technology to traditional companies. It is also expected to facilitate discussion
around the best way to deploy Blockchain technology
Unit4 Case 1: Advantech: Evolution of its IoT Ecosystem Strategy (CEIBS Shanghai, 2018)
Expected Outcome:
Students will be sensitized to look at the overall ecosystem while trying technologies such as IoT. Through this, students will also understand the
layers of the IoT industry and its various players.
Unit4 Case2: Robotic Process Automation: Strategic Transformation Lever for Global Business Services (“WALT”) (London School of Economics,
2017)
Expected Outcome:
Students will gain insight into the service automation landscape, RPA risks, challenges, and effective deployment, and will learn how to plan for
(a) service automation strategy and building a mature automation capability, (b) mitigate the risks, and (c) progress launch, change management
and detailed implementation in multiple business contexts.
Unit5 Case 1: UnitBanco Sabadell acquires Banco CAM: leveraging a cloud computing strategy
The case focuses on Miquel Montes, the new CEO in Banco CAM, and his team; Federico Rodriguez, new Chief Operations Officer; and
Carles Abarca, new Chief Information Officer. Banco Sabadell had developed a cloud computing architecture never tested before in
mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Despite Sabadell management’s strong and proven experience of M&As, there were risks associated
with the benefits. Students need to understand both to understand how to plan in such situations.
Unit5 Case 2: Selling groceries through the cloud in a Tier II city in India (EMERALD EMERGING MARKETS CASE STUDIES 2016)
Expected Outcome:
Students are expected to understand the challenges faces by the business mentioned in the case, how these challenges can be tackled by moving on
to the cloud, risk analysis for cloud strategy, ROI, and other benefits.

ASSESSMENT DESCRIPTION

CIA 1 Implications of Industry 4.0 and/or Service 4.0 in Company


Assignment This will be group work with two components - Preparing the report and presentations.
Description The faculty will allocate a company to each group after forming the same.
and A. Prepare a report on the Implications of Industry 4.0 and/or Service 4.0 to that company. Deliverable would be a PDF document with
Submission 1500 words (excluding pics/diagrams/charts) formatted in Times New Roman, Font size 16 for heading, 14 for sub-heading, and 12 for
the text, 1.5-line spacing, Left Right Justified.
B. Group presentation & slides submission. The group presentation will be recorded using google meet and uploaded in google
classroom. A slide deck of not more than ten slides, converted and submitted in PDF format on the google classroom. All content should
be in times new roman with 1.5 spacing (appropriate font size based on contents). Use pictures, tables, diagrams, flowcharts, snippets
where ever necessary (Give references). In the slides, the team shall show/give a clear indication of which member has contributed what?

Submission Mode: A Report, recorded presentation, and slides will be uploaded in the Google Classroom.

CIA 3B Group Presentation (10 Marks – Converted from 20 marks)
Title Emerging technologies – Appraise with business Implications
This will be a group presentation and slides submission. There shall be five students in each group. The faculty will do group
formation and the group will choose a company. (No two or more groups will choose the same company)
Each group has to prepare slides on the topic (as per the guidelines below) and present for 15 minutes (Online or Classroom
presentation). The presentation should be carried out by all the group members (each member speaking for at least 2 minutes,
however, in a total of 15 minutes). In the slides, the team shall show/give a clear indication of which member has
contributed what?
Presentation Deliverables
Description 1. A slide deck of not more than ten slides, converted and submitted in PDF format in the google classroom.
2. All content in times new roman with 1.5 spacing (appropriate font size based on contents)
3. Use pictures, tables, diagrams, flowcharts, snippets where ever necessary (Give references)
4. Slides preferably with a light background and dark text

The cut-off date for submitting the final slides file would be 13th September 2021, and the presentations will start immediately.
As it is a group activity, group members should take responsibility for submitting.
The respective faculty member will communicate the dates and timings of the presentation. During the presentation, all the team
members should be present mandatorily. Late presentations will not be evaluated.
Each of the group members will be randomly sequenced by the faculty to present on the topic. This is to ensure all the group
members are aware and prepared for all the components mentioned above.
