TOPIC: Hiring Guidelines for Teacher 1 Positions (D.O. 7)

I. SYNOPSIS

 The report was all about the guidelines in hiring a teacher 1 positions with the Deped
Order no. 7 (Hiring Guidelines for Teacher I Positions) and it will be the basis for
hiring policies for Kindergarten up to High School levels.

II. REACTION/UNDERSTANDING:

 As what I’ve understand about the topic, the Deped hiring guidelines for teacher 1
positions for school are enclosed for the information and guidance of all concerned. It
aims to blend and promote institutionalize the primary objective of the K-12 basic
education program, which to intensify the general quality of basic education in the
country by hiring competent teachers.

III. REFLECTION

 As a public teacher, I experienced the hardship of being an applicant way back when
I’m still applying for teacher 1 positions. The application process and requirements
with lots of documents to prepare was very tough. I realized that if you want to
become a public teacher, you should dwell to this process which may lead to you in
the high ranking that basis your capacity including your skills, experiences
specifically in teaching and your academic. Though D.O 7 is stiff to achieve but it
helps the Deped to select applicant that are suitable for the teaching vacancy
positions.
 The reporter is very well spoken and knowledgeable but sometimes his in a hurry
and difficult to understand.
