LG in HARFKO 2003
The Heating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition-Korea
Expo(HARFKO) was held during May 23(Fri) ~ 26(Mon),2003,gathering a total of
26,000 visitors and 152 enterprises from 17 countries.
As a famous Refrigeration exhibition in Asia and the most authoritative
refrigeration event in Korea, HARFKO is a biannual event in international HVACR
industry. Successfully held 6 sessions,HARFKO has grown significantly since its Mr.Nho, President of LG air conditioning division is
explaining about LG products to VIPs visiting LG booth. VIPs
inception in 1989. are, Mr. D.Colliver(Chairman of ASHRAE), Mr.Billiard(the
Director of IIR), Mr.C.Schoz(Chairman of GARA),
Mr.K.Watanabe(Chairman of JSRAE), Mr.W.Ishida(Chairman
of JARN) and Mr.J.H.Lee(Chairman of SAREK).

LG Electronics Sponsors Car Racing Championship to Boost its Sports Marketing
Running from April 4 to October 19, is a tour-type racing competition that starts
from Barcelona in Spain and goes on to France, Italy, Czech, Britain, Belgium,
Sweden, Germany, and Portugal. It is broadcast live across Europe by Eurosport
and through its homepage (http://www.eurosport.com).
LG has started to sponsor the championship exclusively since last year, achieving
tremendous marketing benefits in the process. With the event telecast live by
Eurosport in nine nations across Europe for the past seven months, LG has
maximized brand exposure through various billboards inside and outside the
stadium, front and back of racing cars, briefing rooms, and awarding podiums.
This has allowed LG to gain advertising benefits worth about US$ 7 million.

LG Electronics accelerates Intensive Brand Marketing in the United States


Stepping up brand marketing efforts
LGE will sponsor the Fremont Street Experience (FSE) Multimedia Show in Las
Vegas and the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles as part of its massive advertising
campaigns.
Sponsoring the FSE multimedia show starting this year to 2008, LGE aims to
feature commercial films, promote the LG logo during the show, and hold
various events like new product unveiling sessions at the FSE mall. The company
expects to generate KRW10 billion worth of publicity from these efforts.
In addition, LGE plans to sponsor the historic Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles,
which is designated as a US historic landmark. The theatre was named “Wiltern
LG” after six 60-inch PDP TVs were installed in bars and lounges. From June
2003 to June 2008, the theatre will be used to display and demonstrate LG
products and launch other marketing activities.

LG Unveils New Air Conditioner in Saudi Arabia


LG electronics has introduced in Saudi Arabia recently the new LG airconditioners. In
a dealer convention held at a hotel in Riyadh, Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker, Chief
Executive Officer of H.G.Ibrahim Shaker company - the sole distributor of LG air
conditioners in Saudi Arabia - and the visiting President of LG electronics H.Y. Nho,
announced in a joint press conference, the new types of LG air conditioners.
Mr. Nho said in ceiling suspended A/C category LG will now introduce new design
for the high capacity models of 36k btu and above during the second half of 2003.
New model of cassette type with 4-way air flow control is also being introduced in
Saudi market. Mr. Shin also unveiled the window-type air conditioner with top
discharge capability and regular auto swing. LG is also introducing 28k btu window
type air conditioner.
“It has always been our effort to provide full and complete product line to our
customers and it should be backed by first class after sales service” Hassan Shaker
said. Recently launched free service campaign proved to be highly successful in which
Shaker offered free service to all its customers.
