iv) Worksheet 4:

The man rushed forward like he had escaped the ravenous mouths of death into the darkness he
plunged into dangers more gory than the ones he had experienced. Falling, falling, falling until he
finally came to a cold hard crash with the cobblestone floor sprinkled with sharp jagged edges that
had grazed his skin in multiple places resulting drops of blood seeping out and staining the grimy
floor. The chambers (as he decided to call them) reeked of mold and another odor wafting around
which he couldn’t identify. Gathering the strength he slowly managed to stand up, stumbling on his
steps as he tried to get a better a view of that place. Looking around, a horrified expression was
plastered on his face as he had identified the unidentifiable smell; the odor of rotting bodies and
skeletons.
