Cat Cycle Timer (CCT) 2.0

CCT 2.0
This Caterpillar-developed program enables the user to perform job study machine cycle
timings on his/her laptop computer.

The user can choose from four basic types of studies, with five total options:

Dozing
Begin Load, Begin Carry, Leave Pit, Re-enter pit
o Each segment can be selected or eliminated for the study by the user
o Any of the segments can be chosen as the starting point
Trenching/ Excavating
Begin Dump, End Dump, Begin Load, End Load
o Any of the segments can be chosen as the starting point
Loading Unit (With Trucks)
Truck ID, Begin Dump, End Dump, Begin Load, End Load
o Any of the segments can be chosen as the starting point
Hauling Unit
Enter Load Area, Begin Load, End Load, Leave Load Area, Enter Dump Area, Begin
Dump, End Dump, Leave Dump
o Any of the segments can be chosen as the starting point
o Time travel segments can be captured
o Scales can be entered in the load, dump or haul areas
Hauling Unit (Full Cycle Only)
Begin Dump

All cycle time data collected is stored in a file for use. The electronic tool eliminates paper and
illegible or inaccurate data from the manual forms. It also provides a standard format. Cat CT is
fast and simple. When the user adds payload information to the timing record for trucks (from
scales, VIMS or TPMS), the Cat CT program will also calculate productivity for the loading unit
and fleet.
