Cổ phiếu là giấy chứng nhận số tiền mà nhà đầu tư đóng góp vào công ty phát
hành.
Cổ phiếu là bằng chứng và chính là chứng chỉ xác nhận quyền sở hữu của cổ đông
đối với công ty cổ phần. Quyền sở hữu của cổ đông trong công ty cổ phần tương
ứng với số lượng cổ phần mà cổ đông nắm giữ. Vì thế mà cổ phiếu còn được gọi là
chứng khoán vốn.

1. Classify

 Voting preference shares 
Shareholders owning preferred shares have more votes than common
shares. The number of votes of a voting preference share shall be
regulated by the company's charter. 
 Dividend preference shares 
Shareholders who own dividend preference shares are paid dividends at a
higher rate than the common stock dividend or a stable annual rate. 
 Refundable preferred shares 
Shareholders owning redeemable preferred shares shall be refunded their
contributed capital by the company at the request of the owners or according
to the conditions stated in the shares of redeemable preferred shares. 
2. Achivement

end of 2019;

- The size of the stock market exceeded the target set by the Government
until 2020. The stock market capitalization reached nearly VND 5,294
trillion, an increase of 69% compared to the end of the first quarter of
2020 and an increase of 20, 8% compared to the end of 2019, equivalent
to 87.7% of GDP in 2019 and 84.1% of GDP in 2020, exceeding the set
target.

transaction value in 2020 still reached over 7,420 billion VND/session,
up 59.3% compared to 2019.
- • The number of newly opened domestic investor accounts increased to a
record in 2020. In November alone, domestic investors opened 41,203
new accounts, the highest monthly number in the history of more than 20
operations. of Vietnam stock market. For the whole year of 2020, the
number of newly opened domestic investor accounts reached 393,659
accounts, an increase of 94% compared to the number of new accounts
opened in 2019; Foreign investors opened 2,856 new accounts. The
number of new accounts opened in 2020 is almost equal to 10 years ago
combined. Accumulated to the end of December 2020, the total number
of securities accounts in Vietnam reached more than 2.77 million
accounts, an increase of 16.7% compared to the end of 2019.

BONDS
1. Corporate Bonds
Corporate bonds are divided into two types as follows: 
- Listed bonds: These are bonds that are fully registered and deposited at the
Securities Depository Center and are widely traded on centralized exchanges
such as HNX and HSX. The entire trading process must be based on the
regulations of the Stock Exchange.
- OTC Bonds: Also known as decentralized bonds, are traded on the OTC
market. Trading is not bound by legal policies but is based on private buying
and selling agreements between investors.

1. Types of derivative in Vietnam stock market

Futures contract position


Futures contract position is the trading position and valid contract volume
that investors are holding at that time. A futures contract consists of a long
position and a short position.

- If an investor predicts that the price of the underlying asset (e.g. the
VN30 Index) will increase in the future, the investor buys a contract,
which is called opening a long position or entering a long position
(buyer). )
- conversely, if the investor thinks that the price of the underlying asset
will fall in the future, the investor will sell the contract and is said to open
a short position or enter a short position (sell side).

- The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) has just said that the derivatives

- Accordingly, VN30 index futures product trading reached the highest


level in the first 6 months of 2021 with an average trading volume of
212,145 contracts/session, up 1.16% over the previous month. In
addition, on June 28, the derivatives market received a new product, the
10-year government bond futures contract was put into trading,
contributing to bringing commodities to be traded on the market. market
to 3 products and a total of 10 contract codes.

- Open interest volume (OI) at the end of June trading session reached
29,851 contracts, down 10.69% month on month. The highest open
interest in June reached 33,609 contracts at the trading session on June 7,
2021, and the session with the highest trading volume reached 345,296
contracts on June 10, 2021.

- Regarding Government bond futures contracts, in only 3 trading sessions


at the end of June 2021, there were 823 10 year Government bond futures
contracts traded.
a) VN30 index future contract
VN30 index futures contract is the first derivative securities product available
on the Vietnamese market. VN30 index futures contract represents 30 stocks
listed on HOSE with market capitalization reaching 80% and liquidity always
having the highest value. This product is governed by the freely transferable
share volume ratio.
b) Government bond futures contract (GBFC) or known as a futures contract
on the interest rate of the underlying asset purchase or sale agreement, is the
government bond at a predetermined price at a specific time in the future.
The two parties are obliged to perform that contract at the time of maturity.

Covered warrant (CW)


- After more than 2 years since the covered warrant product was put into
operation in Vietnam, the warrant market has continuously grown in terms of
trading codes and liquidity. In terms of liquidity, the warrants of SSI in
particular have made a big breakthrough, from an average transaction of
about 100,000 CW units/session in 2019 and 2020, to approximately
200,000 CW units/secsion in the first half of 2021.
