II. Topic Discussed: LDM Course 1 Module 1:Getting Started: Understanding the LDM
in Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP)

The first LAC session started through a prayer by Ana B. Llaneta, the school head of
Ambrocio J. Labrador E/S and was followed by the welcome remarks by the Mr. Nelleuterio Dellosa,
the school head of the host school (venue). Afterwards, the LAC facilitator, Mr. Arnel D. Conde
solicited the expectations of each LAC member by writing them in metacards and posting them in the
board. After the expectation setting, Dr. Angel J. Recebido, the LAC leader discussed the objectives,
targets, mechanisms, expected output per module and rationale of the LDM course. Each member
browsed the folder (soft copy) of module 1: Getting Started and accomplished the LAC profile for the
whole team and the Individual Learning Plan. Questions were also answered by the LAC leader.
This module is all about course overview and Organizing the LAC. It seems that this modules
discusses why there is a need to shift to other modalities due to the threat of COVID-19. It also
reorients the school leaders on DO. 35, s. 2016 on the organization of LAC. It reorients on the
composition and roles of each member of the LAC.

II. Topic Discussed: LDM Course 1 Module 2 : Understanding the Learning Delivery
Modalities in Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP)
This module orients the school heads on the modalities possible to each school
depending on the profile of the school. Learning continuity plan was also discussed in this
module where Deped outlines the importance of continuing the education of millions of
Filipino school children. The modalities presented are MDL, ODL, TVBI/RBI and Blended
Learning. The LAC leader guided the LAC members how to accomplish the distance learning
matrix. Sample table was presented. Brainstorming was utilized to elicit answers from the
members. The strength and weaknesses of the various modalities was put into the table for
scrutinization. LAC members participated actively.

II. Topic Discussed: LDM Course 1 Module 3: Choosing the Appropriate Learning
Delivery Modalities for your Division and Schools

In this module the decision tree was a flow chart like tool that helped us decide the
possible modalities. It also assesses the readiness of the school to implement the chosen
modalities based from the collected and processed data of the school. In this module the data
on the readiness of the school were supplied such as the number of modules produced,
orientation don to learners, parents and community, the availability of internet connection,
radio signal, ICT equipments needed, etc.
The LAC leader asked for the data from the LESF for this will be the source of data to
be inputted in the decision tree. This module is quite lengthy so it took the members to finish
the output for a day. The figures in the decision tree must be tally with the LDM readiness
assessment. Availability of the resources for each modality must be taken into consideration
such as the TV, radio, printed materials needed, connectivity, etc.With the vastness of needed
data, some members are wary if they will be able to finish the module on time. The LAC
leader guided the members as to how it will be accomplished properly. LAC Session 3
Focused on brain storming, familiarization of the decision tree and LDM readiness matrix as
well as the collection of needed data.

LAC Session 4 focused on the accomplishment of the decision tree using the collected
data. The members worked for several minutes and each member presented his/her decision
tree to the group.

This LAC session focused on the accomplishment of the LDM Readiness Assessment.
After accomplishing the decision tree, members started transferring the figures in this form.
Available resources were also inputted in each learning modality. After finishing the
template, each member presented to the group.

This LAC session focused on the critiquing and refinement of the two outputs. Round
table discussion was utilized to better enhance the discussion. The pro’s and cons was
discussed as well as the needed resources to better implement the intended modality/ies. The
output was once again presented by each member in the power point

Implementation Planning

This module is on Assessment on the readiness of the teachers, parents and leaners,
and learning from the selected LDM implementation models. Risks that might affect the
implementation of the LDM will be taken into consideration.

The first session for module 4 LAC session 7 centered on the familiarization of the LDM
Implementation Plan. The LAC leader stressed that there are four parts for this plan. First is the
learning management which encompasses learner organization and learning performance monitoring.
The second part was continuing professional development for teachers and other school personnel.
Part three was on risk management. Part four was on communication plan for implementation.

Implementation Planning

The day started with a prayer from Mr. Arnulfo D. Chavez, and was followed a a recap of
yesterday’s activity. The LAC leader reminded the members to take note of the possible suggestions
in the template for further improvement and possible feedback. After the attendance check by the
LAC facilitator, and after familiarizing with the implementation plan, the members accomplished the
readiness checklist for teacher, learners and parents. Possible interventions were suggested on each
part with a response of no in the template.

Implementation Planning

This session centered on the presentation and brainstorming of output. Each member
presented his/her implementation plan and readiness checklist. Suggestion was given to some
members for the refinement of the output.

II. Topics Discussed: LDM Course 1 Module 5A (For School Heads): Establishing and
Managing the Technical Assistance Mechanism in the School

Technical assistance and coaching were defined in this module. School heads
discussed the importance of TA in the LDM. Principles of technical assistance was discussed
as the different levels of assistance. As an output, the members are able to construct their TA
Plan for teachers.
At the beginning of the session, the LAC facilitator posted metacards in a board. Each
metacard has question in it. LAC members were to choose only one and answer the question
based on their own understanding. The questions posted pertains to the meaning the salient
processes in TA giving. After reading the materials in the LDM course book, the facilitator
returned to the posted questions for proper processing of the correct answer. The members
participated well and were able to finish the output (TA Plan) on time.

Evaluation of Learning Delivery Modality Implementation

This module is on M and E Basic Concepts and Key Related Frameworks and M and
E Planning. Monitoring was defined vis-a vis evaluation. M and E will ensure that the LDM
was on track and to provide needed feedback on its efficacy as substitute for F2F modality.

II. Topics Discussed: LDM Course 1 Module 6A (For School Heads): Monitoring and
Evaluation of Learning Delivery Modality Implementation

In LAC session 12, the members accomplished the M and E monitoring plan. The key
activities were in the input, expected output and outcome were analyzed by identifying key
indicators, data collection procedure, analysis methods, the time of data collection and the
person who will collect the data. After the table was completed, discussion of the output
followed. The LAC leader emphasized that the activities in the first column should tally with
the activities enumerated in the LDM implementation plan. Their should be congruency
among the sessions used in each module.

Implementation Portfolio

This session was used to accomplish and create the school action plan. Each school
head created his/her own action plan based from the activities to be done before, during and
after the modality implementation. The output was presented in a power point and was
provided with feedback for improvement.

This session was on the finalization of all the modules from start up to the last.
Members were encouraged to look back from their first output in the first module. Inputs
should tally from module to module. Afterwards, the portfolio was prepared by each member.
Then, all the output was submitted to the LAC leader.
