Educational pathway

My educational pathway through the College of Southern Nevada for a Secondary education

associates degree began with completing my pre-requisite course in English and History. Since

the degree is an Arts degree, a requirement is to take an arts course and foreign language

course. In my case Spanish and history of rock and roll. Included in this course work is two

sciences classes with at least one lab course. Since I have chosen social studies as my path my

elective courses three of them have been based in the social sciences. Included during your

time are courses on education ranging from culture to technology to psychology and

introduction to education. After completion of the required 60 courses and receiving a

associates degree a requirement of passing the praxis exams is in place to move forward to a

bachelor’s degree at another institution
