DAILY DEVOTION

Our topic tonight is all about daily devotion. So let me start with, bakit nga ba tayo nagkakaroon
ng youth fellowship, what is the purpose of this? (Assign ka na ng sasagot in advance kahit 2
lang na tatawagin mo plaus ikaw yung last to recap their answer and to add your own answer.)

It is very important for us to know the purpose, the why of anything that we do.

Kaya tayo nagmemeet via zoom every other Friday bilang mag kabataan, is for us to not just
enjoy yung ating mga games, o Manalo ng load, but also to meet new friends kahit virtually lang
and hopefully magkaroon tayo ng face to face fellowship in the near future, maging
encouragement tayo sa bawat isa , being we have our own strengths and weaknesses. Unti-unti
we are able to build our relationship with one another and most importantly together we grow
in our relationship with God through His words.

Alam naman natin na for a relationship to grow strong there must be communication, pursuing,
initiative and time. Same with our relationship with God, we have to have the initiative to give
time to communicate with Him, not just tell Him what you want through your prayers but also
listen to Him through His words. This is not just onve a week

Kaya nga Daily Devotion is very important in our walk as Christians, not just as believers but
followers of Jesus. Once a week is not enough.

What is daily devotion?

“Daily Devotion” is a phrase that refers to the time we spend with God
daily to read His Word, to listen to Him as He speaks through His words
and to Pray.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All Scripture (the word of God written in the bible) is inspired by God and is profitable for
teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God
may be complete, equipped for every good work.
16
Ang lahat ng Kasulatan (mga salita ng Diyois na nakasulat sa bibliya) ay kinasihan ng Diyos, at
kapaki-pakinabang sa pagtuturo ng katotohanan, sa pagsaway sa kamalian, sa pagtutuwid sa
likong gawain at sa pagsasanay para sa matuwid na pamumuhay, 17 upang ang lingkod ng Diyos
ay maging ganap at handa sa lahat ng mabubuting gawain.

Let us all remember that:

1. The word of God, though written by men of great faith, followers of Jesus, it is inspired by
God through the Holy Spirit.
2. You cannot separate God from His word, siya at ang kaniyang salita ay iisa.

3. God will not do anything outside of His word.

From this scripture, we will be able to state the reason why daily devotion with the word of God
is important.

1. It is profitable for all of us. – Meron itong kapakinabangan para sa bawat isa sa atin. May
maidadagdag, maitutulong sa buhay natin na ang impact is not just temporary or momentary
but lifetime and eternal.

Minsan may mga bagay tayo na pinag-aaksayahan natin ng sobra-sobrang oras at lakas pero
wala naman talaga siyang naidagdag sa atin bukod sa panandaliang kaaliwan, pang lipas oras
etc Hindi naman talaga sya nakapag-add ng value sa buhay natin at the end of the day we will
come to realize ah, waste of time lang pala sya. (you can ask them for examples)

You can comment like wala naman masama as long as we do not exhaust all our energy and
time for those things tapos sa mga important things wala na tayong oras at lakas or kung sa
mga bagay na wala naman talagang naidadagdag sa atin o hindi naman talaga nakaktulong,
nakakapgbigay tayo ng oras at lakas di sana ganun din sa ating time with the God.

2. We will learn. Matututo tayo kasi ang Diyos ay nag tuturo ng katotohanan sa pamamagitan
ng Kanyang mga salita.

-truth about God and His promises, about ourselves. And the more we get to know the truth
about Him through His words mas na- enlighten tayo and mas nakikilala din natin ang ating
mga sarili bilang mga anak ng Diyos and mas nago-grow tayo sa ating faith,

- Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

3. We will be rebuked, reminded.

Katulad ng isang magulang na pinagsasabihan tayo o sinasaway tayo sa mga mali nating
ginagawa kasi ayaw Niya tayong mapahamak o malayo sa Kanyang mabuting kalooban kasi
mahal niya tayo.

As you read the word of God, may mga bagay na ginagawa tayo o maaring iniisip natin na okay
lang naman pero hindi pala siya okay sa Panginoon. Akala natin okay kasi popular idea siya,
maraming mga tao ang gumagawa, sinasabi at ginagawa ng mga barkada natin o akala natin
okay pero hindi pala siya bagay sa atin bilang mga anak ng Diyos.

Ang tunay na nagmamahal ay nagpapaalala, nagdidisiplina at nagtuturo at hindi hinahayaan na

magpatuloy sa kapahamakan ang kanyang minamahal.

4. We will be corrected.
Ang diyos hindi lang tayo nirerebuke o sinasaway. He also corrects us. Tinutuwid niya ang mga
maling ginagawa natin.

It is not enough na malaman lang natin na mali ang ginagawa natin kundi malaman din natin
ano ang tama, paano ang tama, anong ang mas Mabuti o paano natin maitutuwid ang mali
nating ginagawa.

5. We will be trained for righteousness.

Kung athlete ka o gamer ka very familiar syo ang word na training.

Sa mga athlete may training in the physical to build your stamina and strength para sa mga
competitions. Same with gaming, kailangan mo siya ulit-ulitin para guamling ka. Sa mga
academics naman, you have to study and review to prepare yourself for the tests, exams etc.

Same with our spiritual life, we need to read and study the word of God, to communicate with
Him through prayers, to be in fellowship with your fellow believers such as what we are doing
now because through this we will be able to build our spiritual muscles. Para we will be able to
withstand the storms of life, the problems, challenges, the works of evil kasi we are equipped
with the truth of the word of god and his promises.

We will be trained to hear from Him and have the spirirt of discernment, hindi tayo basta
naloloko o nadedeceive ng kaaway.

Purpose: v 17 so that the man of God (tayo yun) may be complete (hindi sa mga bagay o sa mga
tao natin masusumpungan ang ating kakumpletuhan kundi sa ating creator kay God.), equipped
(prepared, ready) for every good work(purpose of God) not only for yourself but for others as
well.
