costs quite financial budget as to
planning for more accessible
jeepneys and stations.
C. Preventive potential 3/3x1 1 Possibility of having some joint
pain, dizziness, and also can be
the cause of increasing of the
blood pressure when he/she
walks around 1 to 2 kilometers or
1 ½ hour just to go to hospital for
his/her check-ups and other

HEALTH PROBLEM:
“Lack of Easy access to transportation, bus stop and market locations”
CRITERIA COMPUTATION ACTUAL SCORE JUSTIFICATION
E. Nature of the problem 2/3x1 1 It is a health threat.
F. Modifiability of the problem 1/2x2 1 Availability of transportation may
help the people to make things
easier; they may have easy
access to healthcare and their
other appointments. However,
the environment is a complex
interlinked system. It may be
limited because it may not
include all the complexities and
further work is needed on this.
Another thing is that this may
result in a state e.g. high air
pollution levels, reduced access
to green space, larger distances
to travel and poor food
environment, with as
consequence e.g. high exposures
to air and noise pollution and
heat, limited physical activity,
limited social contacts/cohesion,
a reduction of opportunities for
active transportation, greater
opportunities for fast food
consumption leading to possible
effects on respiratory and
cardiovascular health,
growth/obesity, and behavioral
disorders/cognitive function.
G. Preventive potential 3/3x1 1 Rural communities often have
more elderly residents who have
chronic conditions requiring
multiple visits to outpatient
healthcare facilities. This
becomes challenging without
available public or private
transportation. So, the possibility
of having weakness and body
pain will be reduced, including
having healthcare appointments
and needs of the residents will
become easier.
H. Salience of the problem 1/2x1 0.5 Does not need an immediate
attention.
