CAREER EXPERIENCE

TRAINEE ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING AND TESTING), Tata Magna Automotive Seating Systems
October 2017 – July 2018
• Trained for 3 months in different aspects for manufacturing and testing of automobile seating systems. Learned about
different protocols, Gage R&R for quality inspection post testing and formation of Device Master Records (DMR’s)
• While making the DMR’s, the primary focus was Manufacturing Procedures assemblies and Inspection under project
manager’s guidance.
• Set up in-house testing lab in collaboration with MGA Research Corporation
• Created plan for testing of a 5-seat vehicle (Tata Q-501) and a plan for Design Verification
• Coordinated with the design team for root cause analysis
• Accomplishments: Led a team of 7 in testing. Presented any failures that occurred and met deadlines for
completion of launch by February 2020

MANUFACTURING INTERN AND ASSEMBLY MANAGEMENT , Tata Toyo Radiator

July 2015 – August 2015
• Focus of internship was to develop a standardized method of assembly of the intercooler assembly of a truck. The already
existing procedure needed to be optimized and the total tact time needed to be reduced in order to have better
productivity
• Identified the steps in the current Standard Operating Procedure that consumed the most amount of time
• Developed an algorithm by providing rewards to every step of the procedure. Optimizing function was total tact
time needed to complete the procedure
• Accomplishments: Brought in factors such as human feasibility and continuous operation of work. Kept both of
these conditions in the optimization problem and the final tact time was reduced by 33%
• Created SOP with clear instructions for assembly workers

DESIGN INTERN , Magna Seating Engineering Services

July 2014 – August 2014
• Conducted benchmarking of 6 different vehicles in the range of mini -transporters
• Constructed a detailed report of all the specifications in the 6 vehicles
• Crafted a design for the rail-track system on the seats for adjustable seats

• Collaborated with design team on CATIA V5 for the constructing of the initial design of the rail -track system
• Accomplishments: Successfully created the design with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

PROJECTS

MULTIPLE TRAVELING SALESMEN PROBLEM

January 2020 – June 2020
• Developed a Warehouse System 3D Sketch Platform. Implemented in simulation software, V-REP, and linked to
Matlab in order to run simulations of 4 drones. Method elimination of sub-tours and repeatability was
considered
• Accomplishments: After multiple simulations, the optimum path was achieved with minimum time and no
repeatability

DESIGN MODIFICATION OF MAGNECTIC GRIPPER MECHANISM (ISO/TS-15066)

August 2019 – June 2020
• Designed and implemented a servo-motor braking mechanism, casing for the robotic gripper, and magnetic
shielding for protection from the magnets present in the mechanism. All 3 were constructed by following the
specifications of ISO/TS-15066 in SolidWorks
• Two analyses (static structural and magnetostatic) were conducted for validation
• Accomplishments: Design was successfully validated in Ansys and Ansys Maxwell software

OPTIMAZATION OF OPENING TIME OF SOLAR PANELS IN UNMANNED GROUND VEHICLE

August 2018 – December 2018
• Aim of the project was to optimize the opening and closing time of solar panels attached to an Unmanned Ground Vehicle.
The objective function was time of opening and closing, while the variables were the design of the links connected to the
solar panels. The constraints for the optimization were that the design should be feasible to work
• After performing optimization, the design variables (arm links) were obtained and the design was created in
SolidWorks
• Validation of design was conducted in Ansys software. Static Structural Analysis was performed and the
obtained results validated the design
• Accomplishments: Design was successfully validated in Ansys with minimum stress levels and minimum time
for operation of solar panels
