Dhanushree is an 8th grade student who enjoyed learning through the Agastya Foundation's online lessons during the COVID-19 lockdown. She said the lessons taught her how to learn at home using materials available and made efficient use of time. The interactive lessons helped her understand concepts clearly through hands-on activities. Doing the experiments herself with locally sourced materials helped Dhanushree learn more about science. Both Dhanushree and her parents were satisfied with the Agastya Foundation sessions and found them more interesting than regular classes.

Her father is a security guard and her mother works at a tea powder company. She has an elder sister and she now studies in 10 th standard at the same school. During her free time, Dhanushree likes to find new games and play them. Make the hands dirty by learning through experimenting When asked about the current situation in the country, Dhanushree said that the lockdown started on 22nd March, 2020 due to the spread of a virus called Corona virus. She says it is a very dangerous virus and there is no cure to this disease yet. She says that the virtue of this virus is not just limited to the human confidence but it goes deeper and affects the human relationships as well. During these tough times, it is only recommended to cultivate good habits and maintain them. She says one of the good habits that she cultivated in these times is to listen to online lessons by Agastya foundation. According to Dhanushree, Agastya foundation teaches the in and out of how one can learn sitting at home, with the material available at home, with virtual classrooms. Even during the lockdown, Dhanushree says that she enjoyed each and every session by Agastya foundation. She says that with ELP sessions she learnt the lessons just how she used to learn at school. Though the learning is same, she also mentions that the learning experience is, however, is very different. One of the major differences she brings up is the concept of making use of time efficiently. Staying at home, locked down, Agastya made the students to effectively learn subjects. Other online sessions are also very different from Agastya sessions but Agastya teaches the lessons through activities. This makes the student to understand the concept very clearly and remember it for a very long time. Agastya online sessions made a very big impact on Dhanushree, as now, she can confidently apply for science fairs and explain any science topic to her friends also. This way, Agastya is unleashing the hidden talents of students. She says that compared to regular Agastya classes, the ELP classes are way more interesting as the experimental material has to be sourced by the student and in that process, she can understand more about those materials and how they are useful in the experiment to be done. Her parents are very satisfied with Agastya sessions and they also participate with her at times. The teachers also sincerely stated that it is a great pleasure to have given the teaching through this activity to the Agastya foundation as her teachers are not able to tell the activities using materials.
