Name: Amrutha C.R. Class: 8th School: Adarsha Vidhyalaya Age: 13 Background: Amrutha hails from a family of 4 members. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a home maker. She has one younger sibling and is studying in 2nd standard currently. Amrutha has been associated with Anveshana for the past one year and prepared milk adulterometer as her project. She has also won third prize for that. Before Anveshana: Amrutha is a very curious student and always likes to learn new things. She has also participated in “Prayoga”; the science exhibition conducted by Adarsha. She says that she likes to go to school because of these exhibitions and how she gets to learn new things. She has also created models like food chain, water cycle and motor water fountain. She says that she was very much appreciated for her efforts on doing these. During Anveshana: Amrutha says that she is very happy to have met her mentors. She says they are very caring towards the students and supported in every possible way. Though, because of the current situation, she could not meet the mentors, they were in constant touch via calls and available whenever there were any doubts. They communicated by making videos, creating informative slides etc. She says that she got to learn a lot of new topics and understand how competitions work. Amrutha’s parents and teachers supported and encouraged her in every possible way. After Anveshana: When the competition was over, she shared her experiences with her friends and they were all very happy for her. She says that with the understanding about mentorship, she also mentored her juniors in their school competitions. She has never lost the touch with her mentors even after the competition is over. With this competition, Amrutha’s confidence levels have been improved, her communication skills and the clarity of thought have also been raised. She says that it is all because of Anveshana and she thanks for that.
