UNIT -I

2. How are the inductive and deductive methods used in building theories? Which of the two methods is better and why?
3. Define research design. Explain different types of research design.

UNIT -II
4. Differentiate between:
(a) Statistics and parameter
(b) Sampling and non-sampling error
(c) Point estimate and interval estimate
5. Discuss the role of library in finding the appropriate source of information? Give some suggestive arguments to
effectively use of different sources of information including books, periodicals and encyclopedias?

UNIT-III
6. Define data analysis. Discuss the factors that influence the choice of data analysis technique.
7. What are the steps involves in Chi-square test? Critically analyze the use of chi-square test.
8. Distinguish between:
(a) Bar diagram and Histogram
(b) Diagram and graph
(c) Frequency polygon and Smoothened frequency polygon

UNIT-IV
9. What is the difference between:
(a) Technical report and Management report
(b) Bibliography and references
10. What are the objectives of Factor Analysis? Detail some of the stopping rules for extracting variables.
