COMPONENT 1: Exploring Media Products    
   
Learners will develop their understanding of how media products  
create meaning for their audiences. Learners will examine existing  Component 1:  
products and explore media production techniques. Exploring Media  
Products 40 marks
Learning aims
A: Investigate media products Internally assessed
B: Explore how media products are created to provide meaning and
engage audiences.

COMPONENT 2: Developing Digital Media Production Skills    


   
Learners will develop skills and techniques in media production     
processes by reworking and creating their own media products. Component 2:  
Examples of products made include magazine pages and film Digital Media Skills  
posters. Learners will have the opportunity to learn photography  
skills as well as learning to use industry standard programmes such Internally assessed  
as Photoshop and InDesign. 40 marks

 COMPONENT 3: Create a Media Product in Response to a Brief    


Component 3:  
Learners will apply and develop their planning and production skills Creating Media  
and techniques to create a media product in response to a client Products 60 marks
brief.
