1. Dua for attaining good character

‫ َواألَه َواء‬،‫ َواألَع َمال‬،‫ت األَخالَق‬ ََّ ِ‫اللَّ ُه ََّّم إِنِِّي أَعُو َّذُ ب‬
َِّ ‫ك مِنَّ ُمنك ََرا‬
Allahumma inni a’uzu-bika min munkaratil-akhlaq, wal-a’mal, wal-ahwa’
“O Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and
aspirations”
2. Dua for seeking patience
‫صبراَّ َوت ََوفَّنَا ُمسلِمِين‬
َ َ ‫علَينَّا‬ َّ ‫َ َربَّنَا أَف ِر‬
َ ‫غ‬
Rabbana afrigh 'alaina sabran wa tawaffana Muslimin
“Our Lord! Pour out on us patience, and allow us to die as Muslims.”

Rabbi a’inni wa-la tu’in ‘alayya, wa-nsurni wa-la tansur ‘alayya, wa-mkur-li wa-
la tamkur alayya, wa-hdini wa-yassir-il-huda ilayya, wa-nsurni ‘ala man bagha
‘alayya
“My Lord, aid me and do not aid against me, and grant me victory and do not
grant victory over me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and
facilitate guidance for me, grant me victory over those who transgress
against me.”
Dua for triumph against adversity

‫عين‬ َّ َ ‫ ََّو‬،ُ‫ن كُلَّه‬
َ ‫ل تَكِلنِي ِإلَى نَفسِي‬ َِّ ‫ أَصلِحلِي شَأ‬،‫ِيث‬

ََّ ‫ ِب َرح َمت‬،‫َيا َحيَّ َيا قَيو ُم‬
Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, birahmatika astaghitsu, aslih li sha'ni kullahu, wa la
takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘aini
“O The Ever-Living, O The Self-Subsisting, I seek help through Your Mercy. Set
right
all my affairs and do not leave me to myself even for the blinking
of an eye (i.e. a moment).”
Dua for success in an interview and presentation
‫ِي‬ َ ‫صد ِري ََّو َي ِسِّرلِي أَم ِري َواحلُلَّ عُقدَةَّ ِ ِّمن ِِّل‬
َّ ‫سانِي َيفقَ ُهوا قَول‬ َ ‫َر ِبِّي اِش َرحلِي‬
Rabbi-isyrahli sadri, wa yassir li amri, wahlul ‘uqdatam-min lisaani yafqahu
qawli
“My Lord! Uplift my heart for me, and ease for me my task. And remove the
impediment from my tongue, so that they may understand my speech.”

َُّ ‫أت َو َما َحفِظ‬
‫ِيل‬
َّ ‫الوك‬ َ ‫للاُ َونِع ََّم‬
َّ ‫َو َحسبُنَا‬
Allahumma inni astaudi’uka ma qara’tu wa ma hafiztu wa ma ta’allamtu,
fardudhu li ilayya ‘inda haajati, innaka ‘ala kulli syai-in qadir, wa hasbunallahu
wa ni’mal wakil.
“O Allah! I entrust You with what I have read and what I have memorised and I
have studied. Bring it back to me when I am in need of it. Truly you have
power over all things. Sufficient for us is Allah, and (He is) the best Disposer
of affairs.”
Dua for knowledge and success in the final abode
‫ ََّو اجعَلنِي مِنَّ َو َرثَ َِّة َجنَّ َِّة‬، َ‫صدقَّ فِي اآلخِ ِرين‬
ِ ‫ان‬ َّ ‫َربِِّي هَبَّ لِي ُحكماَّ و أَلحِ قني بِال‬
َ ‫ َواجعَل ِل ِِِِّ ي ِل‬، َ‫صالِحِ ين‬
ََّ ‫س‬
َّ ‫النَّع‬
‫ِيم‬
Rabbi habli hukman wa al-hiqni bis salihin, waj-’al li lisana sidqin fil-aakhirin,
waj-’alni min waratha-ti jannatin-naa’im.
My Lord! bestow wisdom on me and make me among the righteous. Bless
me with honorable mention among later generations and make me one of the
inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.
Dua for ease and success in life

َّ ‫سه‬ ََّ ‫ن ِإذَا شِئ‬
َ ‫ت‬ ََّ ‫ل ال َحز‬ ََّ ‫ َوأَن‬،‫سهال‬

َ ََّ‫ل َما َج َعلتَه‬ ََّ ‫سه‬ ََّ ‫ًالل ُه ََّّم‬
َ ‫ل‬
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahla, wa anta taj’alul-hazna iza syi’ta
sahla.
“O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy and You
make the difficulty if You wish, easy.”
Dua for success and victory in life

َّ ِ‫َالل ُه ََّّم اج َعلنَا ُمفلِح‬
Allahumma-ja'alna muflihin
“O Allah make us among the successful people”

َّ َ‫ع َملِي خ ََواتِ َم َّهُ ََّو اجعَلَّ خَي ََّر أيَّامِ ي يَو ََّم أَلق‬
‫اك‬ َ ‫َالل ُه ََّّم اجعَل خَي ََّر عُ ُم ِري آخِ ُرهَُّ ََّو خَي ََّر‬
Allahumma-ja’alna khaira 'umri akhirahu wa khaira ‘amali khawatimahu waj-’al
ayyami yawma alqaka
“O Allah, make the best part of my life, the last part, the best deed, my last
deed and the best day, is the day I meet You”
Dua for mercy, forgiveness and success in the hereafter
َِِّّ ُ‫ والغَنِي َم َّةَ مِن ك‬،‫ل إِثم‬
،َِّ ‫ َوالفَو ََّز بال َجنَّة‬،‫ل بِر‬ َِِّّ ُ‫ والسَّال َم َّةَ مِن ك‬، َ‫ائم مغفِرتِك‬
ََّ َ‫ َوعز‬، َ‫ت رحمتِك‬
َِّ ‫وجبا‬ ََّ ُ‫اللَّ ُه ََّّم إِنِِّي أَسأَل‬
ِ ‫ك ُم‬
‫مِن النَّار‬ََّ َ‫ِ َوالنَّجاَّة‬
Allahumma inni as-aluka mujbati rahmatik, wa-’aza-ima maghfiratik,
wassalamata min kulli ithm, wal-ghanimata min kulli birr, wal-fauza bil-jannati,
wan-najati minannar
“O Allah. I beg You for that which incites Your Mercy and the means of Your
forgiveness, safety from every sin, the benefit from every good deed, success
in attaining Jannah and deliverance from Fire.”
Dua for success in this world and the hereafter
ََّ َ‫عذ‬
‫اب النَّار‬ َ ‫سنَةَّ ََّو قِنَا‬
َ ‫سنَةَّ ََّو فِي اآلخِ َرةَِّ َح‬
َ ‫ِ َربَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدنيَا َح‬
Rabbana atina fiddunia hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qina
‘azabannar
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter
[that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
