Energy Upgrade California’s Home Retrofit Program
energyupgradeca.org
Homeowners can choose to pursue either a Basic Retrofit (includes seven
measures, will reduce energy use by about 10% and will give a fixed
incentive of $1000) or the Advanced Upgrade (based on a home energy
assessment with customized solutions qualifying for incentives of $1250 to
$4000). All homeowners are eligible for this program; there is no income limit.
To get started, homeowners can contact a contractor listed on the EUC website.
Contractors who want to participate must meet the requirements shown on
the EUC website AND participate in required training.
Currently (as of March 2011) there are no Napa County contractors signed
up for the program. As a result, interested homeowners will have to contact
contractors from neighboring counties.
Contractors must apply to CHF to be certified and take the required CHF training.
Homeowners must have income at or below $130,000/year.
ATTENTION CONTRACTORS!
Training for both programs is happening in early April;
check out the websites for details. If we can show
enough local interest, CHF might be willing to do a
supporting a sustainable future Napa-based contractor orientation.
