ARTEFACTS WITH
AUGMENTED REALITY APP
Augment Reality Apps in Museums are designed to
allow visitors to explore more about the remains of
the artefact from the past. On scanning the artifacts
with the mobile app or tablet it gives complete
information and also enhances the view of the
artefact with a 3D look. Some apps are also designed
to show the broken or damaged or lost half of the
Artefact.
VIRTUAL REALITY
IN MUSEUM
A museum is comprised of stories that are told in
various ways. VR allows visitors to experience those
stories in an immersive way, giving them possibilities
of a new perspective.
MUSEUM
AUDIO GUIDE
Museum Audio Guide allows the visitors to find the right
journey inside the museum without any interference of
diverting the attention from the story lay down in the
museum. This captures both sight and hearing sense of
the visitors to ensure a seamless interpretation of the
experiences in the museum journey.
BEACON TECHNOLOGY FOR
WAYFINDING
Beacon is a small device that runs on Bluetooth.
The signals from the Beacon device helps identify
the current spot in the interior maps and allows a
visitor to find the right path in the museum. When
Beacon is combined with an audio guide it allows to
automatically trigger verses or narrations as per the
zone of the museum.
PROJECTION MAPPING
ON STUPA
Projection mapping is an amazing way to create
an illusion or tell a visually immersive story without
the interference of any goggles or device unlike
Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality or Mixed Reality.
Using projection mapping on stupa’s or structures
or artifacts is a unique way to grab the attention of
visitors and tell a story.
ROTOSCOPE FOR
ANCIENT TIMELINE
Rotoscope follows a similar technique as that of Augmented
reality. A time period can be best described with more visuals
in it. Rotoscope allows a visitor to play around the timeline
and explore more content.

ROTOSCOPE FOR
WALL ARTEFACTS
Following the similar technique of Augmented Reality, Rotoscope
is one of the best ways to reveal hidden stories. Experience of
identifying and understanding the Artefacts displayed on-wall
becomes much more interesting with a rotoscope enhancing the
level of interactivity.
IMAGE ENHANCING
TECHNOLOGY
This is something which is in high demand these
days. Condition of scripts, paintings, and readings
in various artifacts deteriorates with time. This
challenge can be overcome with image enhancing
technology that allows viewers to take a close and
enlarged look at the object to identify them clearly.
IMMERSIVE ROOM
IN MUSEUM
The immersive room is like a wonderland for the
visitors. It allows the audience to relax after a long
walk and to peacefully immerse themselves in the
story. Something like this takes a special place in the
memory of the visitors.
INTERACTIVE WALL WITH
CHARKHA AS A REMOTE
Interactive wall displays are the best ways of
informative storytelling in a museum. The point
of interaction varies with the type of story in the
museum or the installation, in this case, a Charkha
was used symbolizing Mahatma Gandhi’s work.
BIOSCOPE INSTALLATIONS
Bioscope installations are used mainly to make the
visitor experience the past. It acts as an element
of antiqueness. So, the video displayed through a
bioscope triggers the feeling of the past.
CIRCULAR INFORMATION
SCREEN
Circular information screens an attractive way
to display information.
INTERACTIVE
TUNNEL
Interactive Tunnel provides that nice walk to a visitor from one set
of experiences to another. It gives time to understand the content
and experience a smooth transition.

INTERACTIVE
GLOBE
Allows visualizing something that needs to geographically mapped
on a global scale.
TOUCH TABLES 3D MODELLING OF
Touch tables are used mainly to get more details for those visitors ARTEFACTS
who have a need to consume more content. 3D modeling has now made it possible
to visualize the broken or damaged part
of the artifact. It also allows visualizing
the artifacts in their original form during
their time.
INCREASING VISITOR
PARTICIPATION
SCREEN WITH
INTERACTIVE KEYS
Content that invites social engagement, like take
a pledge by writing a note or pressing a button to
give their opinion on the story, etc. is helpful for
motivating participation. In this process, it makes the
visitors a part of the study in the museum itself.
INSTALLATIONS WITH
QUIZ/GAMES
Quiz and games are believed to be the most
experiential way to teach something with fun.
Museums are now applying the same logic to involve
visitors in games and quiz as training as well as a fun
activity to take a home a memorable experience.
BUILDING COMMUNITIES
AROUND MUSEUM
MUSEUM APP
Making a museum app opens a channel where
multiple visitors can be connected and spread word
of mouth. It allows museum authorities to notify
visitors with an important development in museums,
its findings, and offers for attracting more visits.
MEETING ROOMS OR
SEMINAR HALLS
Meeting rooms, seminar halls, or conference halls are
integral parts of the museum these days. It allows
the museum to stay alive with the participation of
both the knowledge group and active participants
of the museum. It also promotes the museum by the
announcement of events from time to time.
WEBSITE FOR
MUSEUM
The website for the museum has become a necessity
in today’s era for gaining maximum visibility. It opens
up many possibilities of engagement and community
building around it by creating subscribed groups
around it, for ticketing and weekly information. It
acts as the core of its digital presence.
VIRTUAL TOUR OF
MUSEUM
VR walkthrough displayed on the museum website
and app is one the most interesting way to increase
curiosity among the visitors to visit the museum.
