Subject: General Election to Kerala LAC 2021 Providing High Speed
Internet connectivity for Webcasting from Polling Stations -

Curbing of road cuting and trenching to prevent damage to rierwork

cable-orders issued.

AS per the directions of ECI, it has been decided to conduct webcasting from many|Pofling|
latons in Malappuram district. For enabling this, it is essential to have high speed interne
connectivity at each polling station concerned for webcasting.

n a meeting chaired by the District Election Officer, Malappuram with all the stakeholder

N e webcasting, BSNL has agreed to provide high speed internet connectivity at allthepolling
Stations conceimed.

It is known rom the past incidents that the BSNI connectivity cables were damáged dur t

TOad-cuting and trenching by various agencies such as KSEB ,KWA, PWID(Roads), NHAT, TLpra

bodies and other operators etc. If such incidents are occurred during these days it could severely

affect the connectivity for webcasing operations on the Poll Day.

Under the above circumstances, it is hereby ordered that no road cutting or uenghiing
activities should be carried out till election process is over. However, if any such work uitidet
unavoidable circumstances needs to be executed during this period, prior approval should be

obtained from the District Collector, Malappuram and if any such work is in progress then alk th
authorities concerned shouild ensure that BSNL cable connectivity is established forthwith

Violation of the above order by any means shall invite action under the relevant pravisions
ofthe RP Act 1951. Legal action shall also be taken up for damaging the public properties violatun

this order.
