Student Council Elections - Call for Nominations for Academic Year 2021-22 for PG Class
representatives and PG Secretaries, PG secretaries (girls)
Nominations are invited from the aspiring and eligible candidates for the Class representatives
of all PG courses and following Executive Committee positions. The Nominations in the prescribe
format given below are to be submitted by 5.00 PM on 14-09-2021. The Nominations for Class
representative are to be mailed to concerned Faculty in charges listed in the below table. The
nominations for the Executive Committee positions and secretaries (girls-PG) in the prescribed format
should reach by email to the email id ad_sw@nitw.ac.in Associate Dean, Student Welfare by
5.00PM on 14-09-2021. Application forms and required documents are given below. Candidates, if
they so desire, can withdraw latest by 06:00 PM on 14-09-2021 with intimation to the
concerned Faculty email id.

The elections for CRs will be conducted on 15-09-2021 during 10AM to 11AM. The
classwork remains suspended during 10.00-11.00 AM.

Eligibility for Class Representatives

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.5 and in no event have any academic active
backlogs. The categories I and II will constitute the Executive body.

Election process
The election for CRs will be held on Wednesday i.e 15-09-2021 during 10:00-
11:00AM through Google form sent by concerned Faculty in charges. The elected class
representative will be informed by the concerned faculty in charge to the students through
email after completion of the process.
The Elections for the posts of the secretaries will be held during 4.30PM-5.30PM on
Wednesday i.e 15-09-2021 through google form sent by the ad_sw@nitw.ac.in Associate
Dean (SW). The elected executive council will be informed by the concerned Dean (SW) to
the CRs and executive committee through email after completion of the process

If there is a tie in between the elected candidates, the student with high CGPA will be
selected. If they are also the same then go for toss a coin and select.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ALL CANDIDATES
1. For P.G. Students, the maximum age limit would be 25 years.
2. The candidate shall not have a previous criminal record.
3. The candidate shall not have been subject to any disciplinary action by the Institute authorities.
4. The candidate must be a regular and full time student of the Institute.
5. The candidate should not have any dues to the Institute and Hostels.
6. The students who are carrying out their dissertation / project work outside the Institute and
those who have fellowships from outside the country will not be eligible to contest the elections.
