Benefits” exercise for the can opener in your kitchen. That’s right. Just
your regular electric can opener.

Earlier in this section, we asked you to come up with as many unique

features and benefits of a simple #2 pencil as you could. Take that same
approach here.

Think about everything that makes an electric can opener work: the
fact that it plugs into the wall, the way it holds a can in place, the way it
turns the can automatically, the way it cleanly separates the lid from the
can, the way you get it started with a simple button push, how easy it is to
remove the opened can, etc. See what we mean? You can come up with
8-10 or even more things the can opener offers the user. And then turn all
those features (and any more you can think of!) into strong benefits.
