- When temp of gas is kept constant there would be no change in the average

kinetic energy of the gas molecules.


- If we reduce the volume of gas it will increase the rate of collision between gas
molecules and inner walls of the container
- The force per unit area acting on the wall increases and pressure increases
- Pressure is inversely proportional to volume
120 x 36 = 4320,
100 x 48 = 4800,
80 x 60 = 4800
60 x 80 = 4800

P1 x v1 = p2 x v2
P x 50 = p x 20
P x 50 / 20 = p2
50 ÷ 20 = 2.5
P2 = 2.5
