2018 - 2021
The Lift
ST JAMES QUARTER, EDINBURGH
To give an immersive, unforgettable experience to shoppers, a newly
built shopping center in Edinburgh installed LED screens on each
side of the lift, connecting 8 levels. A huge variety of content was
created to showcase the potential of this space as a canvas for
marketing as well as to give pleasurable, unexpected experience
to shoppers. I played a key role in this project, from concept
development to directing other 3D Artists and producing ultra-high
quality CGI content myself. IDEATION ART DIRECTION CGI
IDEATION I was instrumental in developing strong
content ideas and inpiring the rest of the
by carefully planning out programming of
the content, for example, using triggers
timing and order - so that the whole
experience feels intuitive and truly
team. Used my extensive knowledge of such as ‘button pressed’ or ‘doors opening’ immersive.
psychology to enhance user experience to drive changes in content or determine its

Glass Cracking

Imagine: as you walk into a lift, you see a beautiful panorama of

snowy mountains, which is slightly blurred. You press a button
to go up or down and at that right moment glass starts to crack
from both sides around the control panel suggesting that you’ve
just caused the glass to break. The cracking grows and expands
slowly while the lift is preparing to move and eventually covers all
of the walls around you. And then voila - as soon as the lift starts
moving, the glass breaks and falls down, revealing that beautiful
panorama in full sharpness. Then your experience is enhanced
even further with sounds of wind and birds.

One of the challenges was finding a way of rendering the glass

looking extremely realistic but without any background behind it
to give the flexibility of swapping panoramic imagery later in After
Effects. Also, figuring out how to slow down the cracking of the
glass was another challenge.

Peeking Through Blinds

Imagine: the lift walls are covered with venetian blinds as you
walk in - so realistic you don’t realise that’s just content on LED
screens. And then the play begins: blinds rotate, revealing cloudy
atmosphere behind with sun travelling across and one by one
people start peeking at you and they move their eyebrows, rotate
their eyes, smile, etc. - there is a full show of facial expressions at
play to surprise you.

Wallpaper Peeling

Imagine: a beautiful night scene of Edinburgh is displayed across

all LEDS, and once the lift starts to move, this panorama view
gets torn away as if it was just a wallpaper. Behind it there is an
animated vector artwork showcasing famous Edinburgh buildings.

3-bed
Apartment
SOUTHBANK TOWER, LONDON
I undertook a redesign of a duplex apartment in London to reflect client’s
personality and unique needs. Clean lines and bright colours are abundant in a
lounge allowing incredible views of London skyline to take the stage. Custom
fireplace design and one of a kind furniture pieces add a very unique vibe to the
space.

Every room was visualised by me to illustrate my design intent and I also created a
360 Tour of the whole apartment allowing to walk around and see all of this in VR.

Luxury Car
GENEVA INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW, SWITZERLAND
Created an immersive environment for the Future of Bentley concept car, the EXP100. This was to be the centerpiece of the stand for the 2020,
Geneva International Motor Show.

With the physical restrictions of the steel structure and position of the car, there was no margin for error. The 2.64mm LED screen sat within
5mm of the steel work to create a seamless custom curved screen for the backdrop of the environment. This was a fully immersive sensory space,
complete with scents blown though the air as the story moved from coastal paths to forest scenes. The Interactive element was via a bespoke
RDIF system to allow the customer to choose information in the appropriate language for their viewing. The considered design of the elements EXPERIENCE PRRODUCT CGI
and scenery was all taken from the DNA of the EXP100. DESIGN DESIGN

3D VISUALISATIONS
The following pages will showcase some of the best 3D visualisations I have created for world-class
architects, creative agencies, and KBB manufacturers.

All of the work included in this booklet has been produced entirely by me and features interior design
concepts and designs that I developed based on clients’ needs and budgets.
