MIDTERM EXAM on CE 515 – TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING

Write a Reaction or Response paper on the following module topics:

1. Transportation Engineering
2. Transportation as a System
3. Notable Problems & Mitigations in the Philippine Transport System
4. Transportation Planning
5. Transportation Systems Modeling

 Respond to each topic’s implied ideas. Elaborate, evaluate and analyze the topic’s purpose and main
points.
 Support your points and opinions with specific examples.
 If you have to agree or disagree to the topic, you have to provide convincing evidence about why you
feel that way.
 To complete a reaction paper, you have to digest what you've read so you can put the ideas together.
 Your paper should follow basic essay format. It needs an introduction, body paragraphs, and a
conclusion.
 Make sure your introductory paragraph states the topic, and the focus of your reaction paper.
 Since reaction papers are usually short, you don't want them to be long. They can range from 200 to 300
words to 3 pages for each topic.
 React personally on each topic.

Note:
Use A4 size bond paper for your reaction papers. Submit your Midterm Exam (hardcopy and
handwritten) to Engr. Leo M. Sauro @ 274 Hillside Drive UEP Zone III/College of Engineering
Faculty Room or thru the UEP municipal link or any mode that will be deemed safe for you and
me, on or before February 18, 2021.
