Paula Julie Abdul

Paula Julie Abdul is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, actress


and television personality. She is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. She began
her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers  where she was discovered by The
Jacksons at the age of 18 before rising to prominence in the 1980s as a highly sought-after
choreographer at the height of the music video era. Abdul later scored a string of pop music hits
in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

 Her debut studio album Forever Your Girl (1988) became one of the most successful debut albums
at that time, selling 7 million copies in the United States and setting a record for the most number-
one singles from a debut album on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: "Straight Up", "Forever Your Girl",
"Cold Hearted", and "Opposites Attract".

Hema Malini

Hema Malini is an Indian actress, director and producer, Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer,


and a politician, well known for her roles in Hindi cinema. She made her acting debut in Sapno
Ka Saudagar. She went on to appear in numerous Bollywood films, most notably those with
actor and future-husband Dharmendra and with Rajesh Khanna. Malini was initially promoted as
"Dream Girl", and in 1977 starred in a film of the same name.
During her career, she received eleven nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress, winning
the award in 1973.] In 2000, Malini won the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and also
the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian honour awarded by the Government of India.

Carrie Ann Inaba

Carrie Ann Inaba is an American dancer, choreographer, television dance competition judge,
actress, game show host, and singer. She started her career as a singer in Japan, but became
best known for her dancing, first introducing herself to American audiences as one of the
original Fly Girls on the sketch comedy series In Living Color.

Inaba's choreography has appeared in several television series, including American Idol,  American
Juniors, All American Girl, He's a Lady, In Search of the Partridge Family (in which she also appeared on
air), Married by America, The Sexiest Bachelor in America Pageant, The Swan, and Who Wants to Marry
a Multi-Millionaire?. She also choreographed the Miss America Pageant for five years. She appeared in
the first season of So You Think You Can Dance during the audition stages where she provided
choreography for the "choreography round".
Inaba served as an honorary judge at the 2009 USA Dance National Dance Sport Championships.

Mýa

Mýa Marie Harrison, better known as Mýa, is an American hip hop and R&B singer, record
producer and actress. Harrison's eponymous debut album with Interscope Records was
released in April 1998. It sold over one million copies
in the United States, producing the gold-certified top
ten single "It's All About Me" featuring Sisqó. Her
second studio album, platinum-plus selling Fear of
Flying was released in 2000 and became a worldwide
success, with single "Case of the Ex" becoming Mýa's
breakthrough hit; topping the Australian Singles Chart
for two consecutive weeks

She has endorsed several brands such as Coca-


Cola, Gap, Iceberg, Tommy Hilfiger, and Motorola.
Harrison's contribution to music has earned her many
accolades in the fields of pop and R&B music
categories. In 2009, Billboard listed Mýa as one of their Hot 100 Artists of the 2000s; placing her in
the 97th position. In 1999, Mýa began production on an album that would eventually become Fear of
Flying. The title was partially inspired by Erica Jong 1973 novel, Fear of Flying which shared a lot of
similarities toward female sexuality and development of second-wave feminism

Twyla Tharp

Twyla Tharp is an American dancer, choreographer, and author who lives and works in New
York City. In 1966, she formed her own company Twyla Tharp Dance. Her work often utilizes
classical music, jazz, and contemporary pop music. From 1971 to 1988, Twyla Tharp Dance
toured extensively around the world, performing original works. In 1973, Tharp choreographed
Deuce Coupe to the music of The Beach Boys for the Joffrey Ballet. Deuce Coupe is
considered to be the first crossover ballet.

n 1965, Tharp choreographed her first dance Tank Dive[9] and formed her own company, Twyla
Tharp Dance.[10] Her work often utilizes classical music, jazz, and contemporary pop music. From
1971 to 1988, Twyla Tharp Dance toured extensively around the world, performing original works.
