alone. Talk with your medical team or explore programs that
can help.

Financial assistance for all cancer patients

These eight resources are available to patients with all types of


cancer in Minnesota and Wisconsin:

American Cancer Society

Support varies by area. To get started, visit the website. Search


for your zip code, plus “assistance- financial.”

Angel Foundation

Emergency financial assistance grants for adults with cancer


living in communities across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro
area.

Cancer Legal Care

Free legal care for Minnesotans affected by cancer who


otherwise have no access to an attorney's help.

CancerCare

Help for people currently getting treatment for cancer.


Diagnosis must be confirmed by an oncologist and eligibility
guidelines must be met.

Gilda’s Club

Free and welcoming clubhouse for those living with cancer.


Located in Minnetonka, Minn., Gilda’s Club offers social,
emotional and mental health support.

Open Arms
Meal delivery for people diagnosed with cancer. You must live
in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Open Arms is open to all
income levels.

Patient Advocate Foundation

Legal arbitration, mediation and negotiation to settle issues with


access to care, medical debt and job retention related to your
illness.

Financial assistance for breast cancer and women’s cancers

Cleaning for a Reason

Connects women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer


with a professional house cleaning service. The application
process begins in June each year.

Hope Chest

Supports women with financial help during breast cancer


treatment. This includes emergency assistance for rent, utilities
and transportation. Also, Hope Chest delivers healthy “Meals
that Heal” for women and their families.

Mommy Has Breast Cancer

For mothers in active treatment for breast cancer. Helps you find
resources and provides meal delivery. Educational materials are
available for your children, spouse or significant other.

Pay It Forward Fund

This fund is open to patients at Methodist Hospital with breast


cancer or women’s cancers. Women’s cancers include ovarian,
uterine, endometrial and cervical cancers. Get help with basic
living expenses while being treated. Includes mortgage, rent, car
payments, utility bills and qualifying medical bills.

The Pink Fund

Short-term help with basic living expenses. The Pink Fund is for
people in active treatment who have lost all or part of their
income. Payments are made directly to your creditors.

Colon cancer financial aid

Blue Hope Financial Assistance

One-time grants of $200 to colon and rectal cancer patients for


treatment-related expenses.

Leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma funding help

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Minnesota Chapter

Financial aid to cover co-pays for patients with leukemia,


lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma and pre-
leukemia.

Lung cancer assistance

A Breath of Hope

Transportation and companionship for people getting treatment


at Regions Hospital.

Cancer Support Community

Travel assistance grants (gas cards) for stage III or IV lung


cancer.

Financial aid for cancer survivors

The Sam Fund


Support for basic needs for cancer survivors ages 21-39 who
have completed treatment. This includes financial assistance for
food, gas, utilities, and rent or mortgage.
