Study the wet market near you and do the following:

(Manggahan Wet Market)

1. Understand why they behave the way they do and have refused to change.
Wet markets behave they way they do and have refused to change, mainly, of course,
local vendors or wet market sellers have established their own stalls at their respective
areas in a wet market in which has provided them enough to make a living. Second,
shoppers and vendors in a wet market have a ‘suki’ connection (and obviously
supermarket staffs and supermarket shoppers don’t have this bond) which offers both
parties a win-win situation. Lastly, vendors in a wet market can’t give up what they have
started since then because selling inside a wet market is what they do as livelihood and
maybe some of the vendors really find genuine happiness there, based on their happy
faces whenever they approach buyers.

2. Identify areas where the wet market will need to improve in order to survive.
Wet markets need to improve their sanitation, specially in the meat section and the like,
in order to survive because a clean environment maintains the freshness and buyers will
be more patient to buy if they don’t smell or see anything awful amongst the offered
goods.

3. Other than the ability to haggle prices, identify areas where your local wet markets can
attract the attention of shoppers again.
They can simply attract shoppers again if they display or merchandise goods on the best
way they can be merchandised, also, friendship between sellers and buyers should really
be seen too. Improvement for sanitation is really an eye-catcher for buyers to prefer
products your stall because clean environment reflects the cleanliness or freshness of
your goods inside the wet market.
