Racism
• Racism takes many forms and can happen in many places.

• People often associate racism with acts of abuse or harassment.

• Racism can be revealed through people’s actions as well as their

attitudes. It can also be reflected in systems and institutions.

• Racism is more than just words, beliefs and actions. It includes all
the barriers that prevent people from enjoying dignity and equality
because of their race.
Witches
• Philippine witches are the users of black magic and
related practices from the Philippines. They include a
variety of different kinds of people with differing
occupations and cultural connotations which depend on
the ethnic group they are associated with.

• Philippine witches practice a kind of black magic,

specifically a malevolent use of sympathetic magic,
which is associated with Indigenous Philippine religions.
Poverty

• Poverty is not an individual problem, but rather a social

phenomena. poverty occurs because of the lack of
support from the government like healthcare support, or
there are holes in the economy that doesn't give them
stable incomes for their daily expenses. although poverty
itself is a complex topic, these two are some of the many
causes of poverty.
Covid-19
• Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses causing a range of
illnesses, from the common cold to more serious infections such as
those caused by Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-related
Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-
related Coronavirus (SARS-CoV). Coronavirus can also cause a
variety of diseases in farm animals and domesticated pets.

• As the Covid-19 pandemic rages across the world, one thing is clear:
this epidemic, like all others, is a social phenomenon.

• These reactions will in turn drive changes in the epidemic curve,

and how the pandemic unfolds.
Filipino’s Ability to Smile During Disasters

• We Filipinos are known for our unstoppable optimism,

easygoing casualness and sense of humor. We are
characterized by our ability to smile in times of
depression, laugh even in the face of problems, and get
back up despite any disaster thrown our way. We always
say "bahala na".

Festivals
• A festival is an event ordinarily celebrated by a community and centering on some
characteristic aspect of that community and its religion or cultures.

• Festivals contribute immensely to feelings of social cohesion.

• Many such celebrations focus on cultural or ethnic topics and seek to inform
community members of their traditions.

• Festivals and special events lead to many benefits within the host community.

• In the tourism context, festivals can boost the local community in two major ways.
Sharing a Meal
• Sharing a meal here in the Philippines is already our culture.

• It is common for us Filipinos to eat our meal together, It is very

enjoyable that we are sharing our food to each other, talk random
topics that making us laugh, and building our connections as a
family even we're not really blood related at all.

• We have this traits passed us from our ancestors, and we will pass
this to our next generation. Giving importance eating together and
valuing the food given by our God. Enjoying our blessing together
whatever it is, small or big.
Offering Reassurance

• Offering reassurance to people helps them reduce their

anxiety and stress. giving them reassurance not only
gives them relief but peace of mind too. this is common
for all of us since we also need reassurance in our lives.
Conversation
• Conversation gives you social support. Whether you talk to your
friends, colleagues and family members for information-sharing,
advice-giving, or just to vent, this process helps you put things in
perspective which helps build your resilience and cope better when
things don't go to plan.

• Conversations are key to language development, the exchange of

thoughts and ideas and listening to each other. People learn by
hearing each other's thoughts while observing facial and body
expressions that show emotions.

• “Fully present to one another, we learn to listen. It is where we

develop the capacity for empathy.
Shaking Hands

• Handshaking is a common greeting behavior and is

often one of the first observations that individuals make
of each other upon meeting.
The End
