Description
1 General
This manual has been prepared using the Aerospace Specification S1000D and is assembled from
Data Modules (DM), which are written in AECMA Simplified English (SE).
The maintenance manual gives instructions for maintenance personnel to service and maintain the
PC-12 Series aircraft. A PC-12, PC-12/45 or a PC-12/47 Series aircraft can be identified by referring to
the Aircraft Identification Plate installed aft of the cargo door and shown in AMM 12-
A-11-20-00-00A-040A-A. The maintenance manual provides sufficient information to inspect, fault
isolate and to complete the removal/installation and test/adjustment of equipment as well as the repair
of certain systems. To provide as complete as coverage as possible, optional equipment has been
included in the manual.
Information which is beyond the scope of this manual may be found in the following manuals:
− Illustrated Parts Catalog
− Wiring Diagram Manual
− Structural Repair Manual
− Vendor Publications.
It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that the latest revision of the manual is used for servicing
and maintenance of the aircraft.
If it is necessary to contact Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. about your aircraft, it is important to include the aircraft
serial number in any correspondence. The serial number can be found on the manufacturers data
placard, the location of the placard is given in AMM 12-A-11-20-00-00A-040A-A.
Use only parts that have been approved and certified by Pilatus and obtained from Pilatus approved
sources for maintenance on the aircraft. Salvaged or reworked parts obtained from non Pilatus
approved sources are unsuitable and unsafe for use on the aircraft.
In the event that the aircraft should be maintained and/or operated with parts and/or components
which are not approved by the seller and/or its supplier and vendor, all warranties will be rendered null
and void upon installation of such parts and/or components. Pilatus expressly disclaims any and all
liability including but not limited to liability for any loss or damage to property, injury or death, in
association with any and all malfunctions and/or incidents and/or accidents involving such non
approved parts and/or components.
4 IETP Revisions
This Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) is part of the Interactive Electronic Technical Publication
(IETP) set on the CD-ROM, Document No. 02216. Regular revisions to the IETP set will be done to
correct, change and add new information from Service Bulletins etc. The IETP revised information will
be issued as a new replacement CD-ROM. The CD-ROM label will be identified with the latest
Revision No. IETP CD-ROMs from the previous revision must then be destroyed. The opening
statement on the CD-ROM will show the IETP Revision No. It will also show the revision status of the
equivalent paper copies of the manuals that are contained in the IETP set.
The List of Applicable Data Modules (LOADM) is a list of data modules in the manual and gives the
issue date and the effectivity of the data module.
The Change Highlights gives a brief summary of the data modules inserted or removed by the
revision. Changed information within a data module is shown on a colored background by the IETP
viewer software.
The Record of Service Bulletins is updated at each revision to show all Service Bulletins issued and
their IETP incorporation date, if applicable.
Temporary Revisions are issued when the IETP must be revised between normal regular revisions.
They are issued on yellow paper and must be kept in a folder which is to be made available to the
maintenance personnel when working with the IETP CD-ROM.

9 Consumable Materials
Consumable materials used on the aircraft during maintenance procedures are listed in Data Module
12-A-20-31-00-00A-070A-A, Consumable Materials List. The list gives details of the material and gives
a material number which is used throughout the manual.

Procedure
1 Refer to the safety related data in the applicable chapter for the “minimum safe distance” from an antenna.

WORK ON THE AIRCRAFT. RF RADIATION IS DANGEROUS. IT CAN CAUSE:
− RF BURNS AND PERMANENT DAMAGE TO PERSONNEL.
− ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF ELECTRO-EXPLOSIVE DEVICES.

Note
The minimum safe distance from antenna data is valid for personnel outside the aircraft. Personnel inside the
