Away
Blaze away: if a fire blazes away, it burns strongly and is very bright. Similar to: burn
Die away: if something such as sound, light, or the wind diez away, it gradually becomes weaker
and the stops. Similar to: fade away.
Drop away: if a feeling or something that has a bad effect on you drops away, you stop feeling it or
being affected by it. Similar to: go away, disappear.
Clear away: top ut away the things that you have been using so that a place look neat again,
especially after a meal. Similar to: clear up, tidy away.
File away: to keep paper with information on them in a particular place so that they are easy to
find.
Gamble away: to lose lots of money or possessions by playing card games, trying to win money at
races etc and not winning.
Pour away: to get rid of a liquid by pouring it out of its container. Similar to: throw away.
Sign away: to give property or a legal right to someone else, by signing an official document.
Similar to: sign over.
While away: if you while away a period of time, you spend it in a pleasantly relaxing way. Similar
to: idle away.
Scare away: to make a person or animal go away by frightening them. Similar to: frighten
away/off.
Rot away: if something rots away, it decays by a gradual natural process until it desappears.
