PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

God the Father, creator of the Universe, who is attentive to each creature whose
needs are known to you. With great confidence we present our petitions to you in
the name of all creation.

Together let us pray: God who loves life, listen to us!

 So that the Churches and ecclesial communities know how to respond to the
signs of the times manifested in the cry of nature, wounded by the incapacity of
humanity, incapable of recognizing its vocation to be the custodian of all that
exists, we pray:
 So that international organizations know how to forcefully denounce the
exploitation of the goods so generously offered by Mother Earth, for which so
many brothers and sisters live in need due to waste and abuse on the part of
individuals and nations, we pray:
 For those who are engaged in political life and that in each citizen the awareness
grows that any disrespectful behavior towards the environment harms human
coexistence, undermining the foundations of peace, we pray:
 For those who profess faith in God according to their own religious traditions,
promote a spirituality and a practice consistent with the recognition of the
goodness of creation, contributing to the growth of a world of love, justice and
peace, in which each being alive with its existence praise the Creator, let us
pray:
 So that young people, inspired by the example of San Francisco, maturely make
the choice of a selfless and sustainable lifestyle, promoting the care and
protection of ecosystems, guaranteeing access to all basic resources and
fostering practices that respect the fundamental rights of the human person and
of every creature, let us pray:
 So that we who participate in this Eucharist, who offer God the fruits of the
earth and the work of man, make us available to respond to His Word that calls
us to be prophets of a new creation, carried out on the Passover of Jesus, let's
