INTRODUCTION
Recently, multiple studies have suggested that a substantial
portion of human population will be replaced in the coming years by
automatons and machines. With excessive artificial intelligence
research and development being conducted, many fear that a major job
crisis will unfold since multiple jobs are more accurately and efficiently
performed using machines. So, The development of robots and
intelligent machines beyond a certain point could mark the end of
humanity.
WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
• An Average human will work for 4-6 hours a day . Humans are built in
such a way to get some time out for refereshing themselves and get
ready for a new day of work and they even have weekly off’s to stay
intact with their work life and personal life. But using AI we can make
machines work 24×7 without any breaks and they don’t even get
bored unlike humans.
HELPING IN REPETITIVE JOBS
• Employing AI capabilities for dangerous tasks will reduce the risk to human well-
being and safety. Artificial intelligence technologies will overcome many limitations.
For example, it can help to predict wildfire threats and fight it with the help of drones.
Aside from that, artificial intelligence takes part in tackling one of the primary causes
of climate change - deforestation. AI systems can detect and transmit sounds of
illegal logging. Modern AI-driven robotics and autonomous underwater vehicles
allow access to the seabed to collect marine ecosystem data and shed new light on
the variety of species.
• AI-powered robots can handle radiation, so they are frequently used in the nuclear
energy industry to remove pieces of debris, especially after disasters. Even if they
do not eliminate the danger, robots bring great value helping to deal with a
catastrophe.
NO BRAKES
• Will the fourth industrial revolution end up with a robot at your desk?
Not really. Still, one way or another, AI will impact more than 95% of
jobs either by displacing or complementing them. Moreover, the effect
will be uneven for various industries. AI will hit harder laborious areas
such as manufacturing, agriculture, and logistics and cause a decline
in manual work. Whereas, the healthcare and education spheres are
likely to benefit from new technologies.
NO ABSTRACT THINKING
• Artificial intelligence cannot be improved with experience, they can perform the same
function again if no different command is given to them. With time, it can lead to wear and
tear. It stores a lot of data but the way it can be accessed and used is very different from
human intelligence.
• Also, they can’t cope up with the dynamic environment and so they are unable to alter their
responses to changing environments. We are constantly bombarded by the question of
whether it is really exciting to replace humans with machines.
• Artificial intelligence doesn’t have feelings and because of which there is nothing like working
with a whole heart or with full passion for them. There is no sense of belonging or
togetherness or a human touch. They fail to distinguish between a hardworking individual and
an inefficient individual.
CREATIVITY IS NOT THE KEY FOR AI
• Machines can’t be creative. They can only do what they are being taught or commanded.
Though they help in designing and creating, they can’t match the power of a human brain.
• Humans are sensitive and intellectuals and they are very creative too. They can
generate ideas, can think out of the box. They see, hear, think and feel which
machine can’t.
• Their thoughts are guided by the feelings which completely lacks in machines. No
matter how much a machine outgrows, it can’t inherent intuitive abilities of the human
brain and can’t replicate it.
HIGH COSTS OF CREATION
• Machines can perform only those tasks which they are designed or
programmed to do, anything out of that they tend to crash or give
irrelevant outputs which could be a major backdrop.
WILL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REPLACE
HUMAN INTELLIGENCE
• Andrew McAfee, a professor noted that 20 years have passed since a computer beat
world chess champion garry kasparov yet the gap between computer ability and
human ability has only gotten more significant. He said, “we still underestimate how
big, how fast, technological progress is. I still keep getting it wrong.”
• In just the past two years, McAfee said, AI has defied expectations.
• “Certainly ai is proving to be an invaluable tool, and intelligent workflow is going to
be the labor-saving norm within just a few years,” said scott robinson, a sharepoint
and business intelligence expert based in louisville, ky. “But business processes
involve intelligent thought and intelligent behavior. AI is great at replicating
intelligent behavior, but intelligent thought is another matter. We don‟t fully
understand how intelligent human thoughts develop, so we‟re not going to build
machines that can have them anytime soon.”
CONTINUE..
• “An office worker knows how other human beings think and behave, so she can
anticipate delays or opportunities. There are implicit tasks in all areas of business
that are undocumented but natural and deeply ingrained. AI can‟t get anywhere near
those implicit tasks and passive knowledge.”
