District BSP and GSP Encampment
(major Awards received by learners)

“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.” This is one of the most valuable
lines everyone learned during the Joint BSP-GSP Encampment held at Pikalawag CAFGU
Camp, Pikalawag, Sultan Naga Dimaporo last November 14-16, 2019. It was a three-day
camping activity participated by all represented scouters coming from the different districts,
namely: East, West, and Central. Moreover, Calube Integrated School accepted the invitation to
be part of the said encampment.

The standing of tents and the building of camp gates happened on the first day. This was
followed by a torch parade of different South district schools. Afterwards, the program started
with a prayer and the recitation of the Scout’s Oath and Law. Mrs. Rona Nacua, school principal
of SNDMIS, gave her inspiring message and officially opened the encampment activity. The
scouters took a break for a while as they enjoyed their dinner. Then, they headed back to the
stage to show their most prized talents.

Everyone prepared on the next day for the games. In the afternoon, activities like finding
group members with blindfold, snappy marching, and many more. During the highlight of all
scouting activities, Mr. GSP and Ms. GSP 2019, our school’s representatives fortunately
received the major awards. These two proud and deserving students are all Grade 7 students of
Calube Integrated School.

On the last day of the encampment, the awarding ceremony and closing program took
place with former SND District Supervisor, Dr. Mary Arlene C. Carbonera giving certificates to
the winners.
