SPANCO LIMITED (From 1March 2011 to July 2013)

Worked as Sr. Manager (GIS and Meter data acquisition system MDAS/AMR) of database of 10 lac consumers
71 towns, Client Bihar State Electricity Board, Patna under the R-APDRP scheme of the Ministry of Power.

MDAS /AMR project involved:

To acquire meter data from system and selected consumer meters remotely, monitor related system
parameters, provide meter data for billing & energy audit purposes and generate exceptions, MIS reports,
monitoring, decision support and taking corrective actions on the business activities by the management.

Objectives achieved by providing an Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) based Data Logging System using GPRS
Communication Technologies covering all the Feeder Meter, DT Meters and selected Consumer Meters in the
project area.

Worked on AMR application that collects the meter data from DTs and selected consumers on specific interval
and validates the parameters through rule based validation logics and stores the data in central data centre.
Continuous online monitoring of meter logged parameters in respect of all incoming and outgoing feeders,
Distribution Transformers and selected consumers on specific interval basis. In generates alarms and
notification base on customizable requirement of the utility.

Supported with strong user management, administrative area management (utility administrative hierarchy
like Zone, Circle, Division, Subdivision etc.) and flexible tabular, graphical and dashboard reporting module.

GIS based asset mapping since from Power Substation to consumer end and Consumer Indexing include the
identify each and every consumer on the map by Periodic liaisoning with consumer and client (C level) to
complete the total project in time and develop the program accordingly to resolve various issues related to the
project.

Disconnection and Reconnection activity of 5 lac consumer of Power sector (Bareilly, Moradabad
and Lucknow)
Meter reading, Bill generation, Bill distribution on different tariffs of utility from input to final output report
(commercial and technical reports),Disconnection on due payment(under output report 11 of defaulter
consumers) ,Reconnection after due payment as per guidelines, Collection of payment through cheque, Load
survey and load analysis along with consumption pattern of all category of consumer and recording different
parameters of meter display (MD, reactive and active energy PF,CMD ) and charge accordingly
,Implementation of new ideas and use of analytical power for the revenue realization.
MBC/EDM (expertise in energy Metering, calculation on different utility tariffs, and overall commercial
aspects of Distribution) maintaining revenue realization reports against energy received ,electrical survey of
the consumer and resolve the problem of the consumer by assisting them through camp at consumer levdoor
step , frequency level weekly and provide the solution on the spot as per acceptance of consumers and
maintaining the same. Focus area consumer relationship management and reporting theft cases to concerned
authorities (slow and fast of device or direct theft) to reduce and diagnose overall losses.

Energy accounting/auditing feeder wise and calculation and corrective action to reduce of line losses to
maximize the utility revenue, Regular consumer interaction to resolve the commercial and technical problems
related to billing, meter, disconnection and reconnection related. Preparation of monthly energy, revenue
analysis, gap analysis and accounting reports (MIS) procedure formulation to facilitate reduction in
Distribution losses.

Worked as a SAP ISU functional consultant for BEST(Bombay Electricity Supply and Transport undertaking)
Mumbai for the CIC (customer interaction centre) and DM (Device management) Module for two years
Functional expertise for SAP-ISU Device Management, Energy Auditing, Metering, Billing and calculation on
different utility tariffs Worked as a team member for implementation of SAP ISU Device Management and CIC
customer interaction center module in Distribution utility BEST.
