METHODOLOGY

Research Design

This study is a correlational study which make use of qualitative and quantitative data to relate

personal factors and drop out rate at Punta National High School.

General Objective

This research project aims to know the personal factors on why students drop out from school.

Specific Objective

The study specifically seek answers to the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:

B. Gender

C. Occupation

D. Family status

E. Number of siblings

F. Geographic location

G. Income of their parents

Preparation of Questinnaire

Making a questionnaire to find out the number of drop out and to know the most

personal factors affecting the drop outs.

Selecting of Respondents

Number of drop outs will be determined through the data gathered from the

demographic profile.

Interviewing of the Respondents

Conducting an interrogation of interview the drop out students through the survey

questionnaire given.

Data Analysis

Through the gathered information or data from the demographic profile and the

interview with the drop outs students were able to know the reason or personal factors affecting

their drop outs.

Statistical Treatment

With the help of the survey we conducted we found out that the only remedy to solve

the drop outs and eliminate the number of drop out is to motivate the students and convey them

to pursue their dreams in life and of course providing them the best quality of education.
