Sir Celso Arao Opening Message

My warmest greetings to the ever dynamic and driven “Angels in red vest “of
DSWD Field office 02 under the able leadership of Officer-In-Charge Lucia S.
Alan.
People vary in God-given talents, skills, and abilities that make each one of
us unique. Just in our department, some have knack for planning while there
are some who are into the field of budgeting and accounting. Some have
leadership skills in harmoniously organizing people while others have
technical skills that maintain the operation of our organization. As one
department, we were able to do what we have done and reached what we
have gone because we had found unity in diversity.

Today, we will witness a majestic moment of recognizing those who have

done exemplary job which bring them on the spotlight of today’s celebration
of Pamanagyaman. But let us remember that this is a celebration not only
for those who will be receiving awards and praises. Rather, it’s a wonderful
moment to be enjoyed by each one of us here, either you are awardee or
not, for all of us have collectively contributed to the accomplishments of our
department. Thus, this celebration is for all of us.

True enough, the success of our department is rightfully attributed to all of you
who have tirelessly devoted your time and effort in the name of public service.
With this, I would like to take to thank you all for everything … for exhausting
your greatest capacity in upholding our mandate. Your dedication to promote
goodwill and tireless service to the betterment of the community as you
have manifested through the years is truly remarkable and inspiring. May
you continue to exemplify dedicated service and unwavering commitment as
public servants.

Let me end my talk with this passage that says, “To be a champion,
compete; to be a great champion; compete with the best; but to be the
greatest champion, compete with yourself.” As we aim for the best for our
institution and our stakeholders lets continue to aim for the better, if not the
best, for ourselves because the more we improve ourselves, the better we
can serve the people whom we vowed to serve. Once again, Congratulations
to all of us!
